Adult Coloring Book Beautiful Drawings of Women

I had this coloring book recommended to me by a friend, who mentioned the author is a certified cognitive therapist and they suggested it as a great stress reliever. To be honest, it has been awhile since I have colored, but I found it extremely therapeutic and calming. The images are beautiful intricate designs of women with thoughtful detailed patterns. It’s easy to get lost coloring and shading, letting go of any worries or concerns you had before starting. Once I started, I didn't want to stop! I’m posting a few photos of my completed images. I love this coloring book and how relaxing of an activity it has been, bringing these captivating women to life. I am excited to order the "Color Me Lovely" book next!

The spaces for color are miniscule. The creater of the coloring book wrote to say that the small spaces are meant to create a pattern under coloring a larger area. That makes it MUCH easier. Samples of one colored didn't show this.The women are beautiful.

I ordered this book because I went to high school with the author and have seen the gorgeous drawings she shares. It turns out to indeed be a great coloring book-- I have a few, and they really help me to be mindful. I'm not one to meditate or easily stay in the moment. This one in particular is especially great because in addition to being beautiful they offer a lot of mesmerizing patterns with opportunity for many colors. Some coloring books are pretty prescriptive in terms of color choices (unless you're fine with turquoise-colored leaves or pink giraffes... but let's face it, many of us with a pedantic hyperfocus on detail are the ones who really need these books), whereas this book combines the tangible (faces) with the abstract in a way that opens up our creative freedom.
