WAVE Premium Curved Glass Straws Set - 6 Pack, 9" x 10mm

I had originally purchased a 4-pack of glass straws from another seller on Amazon who is named for a small bird who likes to drink syrup out of a red feeder. ;) I really liked them and use them all day long in my Ozark Trail 30 oz tumbler, but, due to my own clumsiness, I have broken two of the four in the last year. I figured it was time to purchase more so I didn't run out of them. Even though I loved the previous brand, I was trying to look for the best deal, so I purchased this Wave set of six in the 9.5mm size, as this was the size I had already been using.First off, they feel incredibly sturdy. They feel substantial in the hand, though not too heavy. The thickness of the glass is quite nice, I've included a photo staring down into it. I went to put it in my cup and it wouldn't fit through the hole in my lid for the previous 9.5mm straw. When checking the box, I saw it stated these are actually 10mm, not 9.5mm as advertised. This wasn't a huge deal to us, as my husband just used a small knife and made the holes in our plastic lids a bit bigger to accommodate this size (which we also had to do for the original 9.5mm straws), but it's worth mentioning, as it may be a problem for others (I included a photo of the box showing this.) Also, I drink protein smoothies every morning, and, personally, I feel these would not have a big enough opening to use for shakes or smoothies. I would want something bigger. These are more of an every day beverage use, in my opinion.The other thing I noticed was that the bend on the straw starts much lower than the previous one. It didn't seem to hinder where it sits in our cups, but bear in mind, we DID make the hole bigger in our lids, so I can't vouch for how it will sit in certain brand cups or lids. I also included a photo of this, this Wave straw is on the left, the previous brand straw on the right.We also had one straw in the bunch which had a much smaller hole opening than the rest of the ones we received. I haven't tried that one yet to see if I can even tell a difference, but even if it's not usable, one bad one in the bunch isn't worth the hassle of returning it to me. There is a photo depicting that as well.I really like these straws, though I did take off one star due to the wrong size listing and the one possibly "defunct" straw. They feel and look like they will really hold up over time. I certainly hope that's true, as my clumsiness will definitely put them to the test! I think this is a great value for the price given the quantity of 6, and the quality of the product. I would definitely say purchase them!

This is the third brand of glass straws that I've tried--and so far, the best. I drink a daily smoothie, and like to use a straw. These are sturdy and a good length, and unlike either of my previous glass straw purchases, not one of these has broken, even when I've dropped it. I'm a fan of glass straws because plastic straws never biodegrade and clog up the landfill--and in some cases, clog up animals' digestive tracts. Glass can, of course, break, and though these haven't so far, in the long run glass straws are more cost effective--and more pleasant to use. (Stainless gets cold, and IMO, affect the taste of the drink.) When it's time to buy more, I'll be getting these again.

I wanted reusable straws and really looked into aluminum straws and they are so easily accessible. I did not even think of glass straws. but the worry with the metal ones was the changing of taste over time.. the glass ones are durable and dont' change the flavor at all.. a little hard to clean but they come with a brush so its perfect! SAVE THE BRUSH.

Decided it was time to try something other than disposable plastic straws and purchased these glass straws after some hesitation. I wasn’t sold on the size at first, but after a couple of uses, have come to really like them. They are bigger in diameter than plastic straws, but I got used to the size right away. Extremely sturdy, too.Very easy to clean since I just put them in the dishwasher. Haven’t tried the cleaning brush that came with them since the dishwasher method works.

This is a very nice set of glass straws and a cleaning brush. I bought these because I already have some glass straws and I wanted more. I am very happy that these come with a cleaning brush, because sometimes I forget to rinse the straws right away. If I have had a milkshake or a smoothy and don't rinse the straw, they can be a little difficult to get clean. The tiny bottle brush that comes with this set of straws will cure that problem!

I was looking for an alternative to plastic straws and these are perfect. They are very sturdy. I and my kids use them to drink smoothies. They are large enough and don't get clogged easily with ice or fruit pieces. We rinse immediately after use and put it in the dishwasher so they are easy to clean. It comes with a thin brush just in case. I am really glad with this purchase and avoiding plastic straws.

These straws are bigger than I expected. They are similar in size to a McDonald's straw except with a slight bend. I like the cleaning brush that comes with it. These would be perfect for iced tea. I need to order a smaller size for coffee.

I like the straws and really want to cut back on disposable ones. I do wish they were smaller, I don't drink smoothies so really just need normal size. The glass is an adjustment but worth the effort. The cleaning tool that's included is nice. I just run water through mine after use.
