Voltage cutoff too low
The ground wire is far too short for anyone if your glovebox fuses don't a metal body somewhere very close you will have to extend the wire. There is no ACC (ignition on) wire to tap into a fuse that's only live with the ignition on. So you only have one option which is permanantly on when you tap into a constantly live fuse. This means your dashcam wont switch to parking mode as it will allways get power even when the ignition is off until the voltage cutoff kicks in, by which point your car wont start. I have a BMW 640d and this device drained a fresh battery in one night. The voltage cutoff is stupid 11.4v is a dead battery, it's far too low. You risk damaging the battery by allowing it to discharge to that level. Go for a better kit with an adjustable voltage cutoff. 12.0-12.2-12.4 is as low as you want to go.

Don't waste your time or money!
This product is absolutely awful! I bought this to hard wire my dash camera so that I could leave it switched on whilst I was parked as it supposedly has battery protection. After 2 days of not driving the vehicle the battery is completely flat!! So much for battery protection... It is a complete waste of money and time, more time than you think as I now am having to go into work late due to having to recharge my battery. If I could leave 0 stars I would! Annoyingly I can't get a refund either as I have clearly already fit the product and pulling the wires back out is more effort than its worth. Looks like I will just have to move it from a constant fuse to switched fuse and leave this useless piece of junk in place!

Looks great, doesn't work
I've fitted a similar one of these to my car, so I got this for my wife's car.Piggy back fuse went in fine, but as other reviews have mentioned, the earth wire is way too short as there is nothing in the fuse box itself on a Fiesta to earth it to.Extended it myself and then spent ages getting the wiring into the trim. This is not easy as the wire is very wide, but also surprisingly frail. When I tried to turn it on, nothing happened. Removed the wiring and discovered that the plastic insertion tool had obviously split the wire and the bare copper was showing. Took it all out again and fixed the cable, tested continuity, all looked good.Went back to test it in the car, without wiring in first. No voltage across input, turns out the fuse must have blown when I tried it first time.Replaced fuse, confirmed 12v on the input, but plugged into camera - little blue light came on but nothing else.So it's in the bin now and I'll get the one I used before, which was half the price.

Almost everything you need to hard wire a front and rear dash cam
Bought 2 of these hardwire kits to fit 2 IIWEY DC01 front and rear dash cams. The kit comes with fuse and piggy back cable for 4 different fuse types, works with Honda Accord and Fiat 500, the power cable is for a micro-usb but an adaptor to mini usb is included, the plastic tool to ease away the trim does a great job. I would suggest using a thin long nose pair of pliers instead of the fuse removal tool, much easier. The only thing missing is a scotch lock or t-lock wire connector to splice in the rear camera to the reversing light's positive cable, but you only need one of those if you was wiring in a back camera that engages full screen when you put your car in reverse. EIDT 5/6/2020 Drained the battery on the Fiat and Honda, had to buy 2 new car batteries, also drained the brand new battery on the Honda again after a week so I suspect the low voltage protection unit is not working properly, beware.

Very good quality BUT one thing to consider
First of all, this kit is very good quality. One thing to consider though is the power feed. Because the cable is sheathed, in most cars you need to find a grounding point so, this means having to cut off the connectors, removing the sheath and fitting new crimp or heatshrink connectors because you need 50cm or so of cable for both the positive and ground going to different places, which is a bit of a faff, especially if you don't have the tools or equipment.Considering the really good quality Nextbase kit is just £3 more and doesm't have this design error, I would personally just go for that.Nothing against this kit - just it's almost the same price as a better one.
