I’m a big fan of Stewart S. Warren’s poetry, having first been introduced to his creative stylings with the beautiful book, ‘Friend ~ poems for travellers’.This newest offering is a unique collection of twenty-two poems dedicated to the Major Arcana of the oldest known Tarot deck (Tarocchi dei Visconti Sforza). It is sheer pleasure for folks like me who relish meaningful, fresh approaches towards understanding & decoding the symbols & imagery in these historically rich cards. Warren is sometimes whimsical & wry but always thoughtful & perceptive in his reflections of these precious cards from Renaissance, Italy. It was an absolute pleasure to read this book (which could easily be enjoyed during a blissful afternoon accompanied by a lovely cup of cappuccino). Che bello, Bravo!
