Essentials of Conservation Biology, Fifth Edition Fifth Edition

There are a lot of good examples from case studies in the chapters and the information is easily accessible. Our professor heavily relied on the text and the class was better for it. It is worth getting and keeping if you are interested in the subject and plan to go into the field. I will say that it is skewed towards animals and since I am more of a plant person I will not be keeping this book after the course comes to an end.

Nothing to review, really. The book is full of the information it is supposed to have for the class requiring it. It's pretty, my 2 year old loves the pictures of all the animals in it. Solid book. Solid information.

I have gotten my order earlier than expected. I enjoy reading the scientific possibilities of conservation solutions and probable causes of reasons why saving our world is important. Great book to study!

Pretty good quality. The corners were a little worn, and it was a little worn in general. But not too noticeably.

This book introduces conservation biology so that the reader doesn't have to know too much about conservation to understand the material.

This is a good treatment on Conservation Biology. However, to me is somewhat slim in the development of most of the topics. The textbook is almost a primer. I would recommend "Principles of Conservation Biology" because is a more complete treatment.

Great book. Easy to follow. Author is very biased. But overall a great book.
