Hereford Shredded Beef with Beef Broth| Shelf Stable | Halal | Fully Cooked | Ready-to-Eat | 13g of Protein per Serving | 7oz per Pouch (Case of 12)

I have ordered this Shredded Beef in Broth a couple of times now. Twelve, 7 ounce packets make for good portion sizes. 1 pack provides plenty for a couple of hearty eaters. I'm surprised by all the negative reviews, but it appears that those are several months old. When I am reading reviews I often make sure to sort by "most recent" as sometimes recipes, formulas, or other pertinent info changes. I am truly pleased with this Hereford product. It has a natural taste, smells good, and it tastes fine direct from pouch or heated up (my picture is of a portion of the pouch-- maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of contents). Appears like a thin block of meat at first, but it totally becomes a nice bowl of juicy shreds once heated. Not too salty, just enough to make it tasty direct from pouch. Do what you want with it. I tried it with crackers.Great option for those that dont have time or interest to cook beef. Or want smaller portion sizes to work from. Shelf stable until opened, so that further lends to the convenience. Also good for those that want the beef but not the gravy. I really can't see any need for improvement. Not sure what else can be done (still thinking about some of the comments). It is only shredded beef, some broth (just a little, you are paying for beef here, yay!), and some salt.Are you a prepper (proactive and ready for sudden food needs?) Super amazing for stacking up food for emergencies, mega inflation, shortages and such. Adds variety (only so much chicken and tuna one can eat), and it makes it easy. Dont even need a can opener. Can be shared with furry family members in a pinch too.I would add this to my hiking bag for sure. Or even as an MRE to stash in my car or BOB or GHB (bug out bag, get home bag respectively).I also buy their packets of  meatballs in spaghetti sauce  here, and their corned beef which I get elsewhere.

When spiced up for use in a burrito, tacos or as dip, I found this Brazilian beef to be very tasty.However, it was packaged on 22 Aug 2022, with a Best By Date of 22 Aug 2024 (6 months from date received; 2.5 months from 1st use).Luckily, it should still be good for a few more months. But, a shame that this happened.Will I order it again? Probably, as it's definitely convenient.

I live alone, so it isn't often worth the effort & cleanup to cook for only me. This product has made a huge difference! I can pour it into a bowl and microwave it in moments, and have a tasty entree to serve over rice, potatoes, with veggies, toss into a stew, or serve over bread. Mixed with BBQ sauce, it's delicious and easy. I've even added this product to lentils, or spooned it onto crackers for a snack. Added sloppy joe sauce and enjoyed it served in a hamburger bun, or added cheese during heating, for a "philly cheese steak" style sandwich. Never fails to be good. Love it's shelf-stable, don't have to refrigerate or freeze it unless there's leftovers. Time-saving, too. I share a box of packets with elderly relatives who can't cook for themselves, and they've loved it too.

This is kind of tasty, but Very CHEWY because they use a poor quality cut of meat. You have to chew this a LOT before you can swallow it. If they offered it to me at a 90% discount I still would not buy it.

I use this neat for a quick shredded beef taco meal. Just add taco seasoning and microwave for a minute or two. Add to a warm taco shell and add cheese and lettuce and tomato and salsa. Wow..As good as at the restaurant.

I purchased these to store for convenience and storage / back up, and I tried it to make sure I liked it well enough. It was a little bit tough, but honestly for a bagged/canned product about what I expected. Good not great, and stores well, so worth it for some purposes. Like another customer, my regular orders on subscribe and save have been cancelled and will not continue until there is an assurance that the cattle are not mRNA inoculated. It's time to recognize that for some of us there are religious objections and disclosure of their use (or not) is absolutely necessary. Perhaps Halal or Kosher or both will end up including this in their certifications but as of now they do not. My doctor is also recommending that I avoid such products for health reasons and she is not even of the same belief system.

I know the idea of shelf-stable meat sounds disgusting, but this is really a decent product with average flavor. I live alone and work long hours, so I don't have the time nor desire to cook a chunk of meat just for one meal craving. This product is super convenient for my purposes. I typically use this particular product to make birria tacos or birria ramen by combining it with a condensed birria paste. One packet does the job without having to waste or freeze extra meat.

I made a beef and cheddar quiche with a package. It was awesome. I put a few packages in my bug out bag. Looking forward to trying more things from this company.
