Insightful journal with effective exercises
This journal helped me better understand my relationship with food and how my childhood has played a role in it. It is full of simple yet effective exercises that can be done throughout the day, no matter where you are. I have learned to eat mindfully, pay closer attention to my body's signals (hunger and fullness cues), understand and appreciate the food chain and all that is involved in making the ingredients available to me - things I've never really done before. Whether you have a history of emotional eating or not, this journal helps you make yourself a priority and give yourself grace.

Dietitian-approved for anyone who has a love/hate relationship with food
As a fellow dietitian, I often get questions like "What should I eat?" "What do you think of X diet for weight loss?" "Can you make me a meal plan?" A cookie-cutter response won't help, not only because nutrition counseling must be individualized, but also because each person should spend time reflecting on how he/she got there in the first place. This guided journal is a perfect place to start your journey of living more mindfully and feeling more at peace with food and your body through gentle nutrition. It includes reflective prompts that make you dig deep, intuitive exercises that are fun to try, and positive affirmations throughout that will uplift your spirits. I love that this journal is not just about nutrition--it takes a holistic approach that incorporates self-care, meditation, yoga, joyful movement, nature, digital detox, etc.I was provided with a review copy, and I'm grateful that I discovered this journal that I can recommend not only to my patients, clients, family, and friends, but also to fellow dietitians.

Too Small To Work In
This book seems like it has some nice gems in it, but it's so awkwardly small - and with the lack of spiral binding - I don't see how you can possibly draw and really deep dive in something so small. Great ideas, poor execution.

A Journal that brought me back to center :)
Emotional eating for a long long time was the only way I knew how to eat. Through these pages I was engaged and empowered by Mayukos ability to meet me (and any reader) exactly where I was at.The opportunities for reflection and mindfulness throughout it's entirety really has allowed me to be PROUD of hitting pause and discovering what it is I truly need and want, and not even exclusively as it relates to food!In discovering my personal habits of emotional eating, I found reflection & journaling to be essential. If you wonder what habits might be holding you back in relation to emotional eating, triggers or emotional responses, I strongly suggest picking up this inspiring journal to help lead you back to your own Center.Thank you Mayuko, for reminding me how much emotional eating can be a part of life and also how powerful I become when I use tools like reflection, meditation, even minimal movement & mindfulness!

Helpful and supportive journal for healing
I have received this journal for a review, and am very delighted with it's contents.I have personally struggled with emotionally eating and overeating in the past. Although I have healed and have been free of emotional eating for years, this journal is filled with many insights and ideas that invite self reflecting, emotional healing, and 'aha!'s. Mayuko guides you through the journal in a supportive and welcoming way. You can work through the journal at your own pace. Each page introduces a concept, reflection, technique to bring awareness about eating and our relationship with food. Even if you do not have issues with food, this book can work as a beautiful mindfulness journal.I would highly recommend this book to anyone really, but especially for someone who needs extra support in cultivating a wholesome relationship with food, and their own bodies.

Small, Triggering
The book is a bit too small to comfortably write in. A lot of the entries or activities either involved me having to pre plan to eat something during the exercise to complete an activity OR I found very some activities or prompt very triggering. I realize there is a certain benefit to confronting triggers but it did not work well for me. The graphic design is very cute though and not all the prompts are like that.

Useless and waste of money
The prompts are stupid at best.
