Intension
To be honest I only downloaded this book because the cover featured my son Olly Hines something that made me immensely proud . Then I read it and was completely bowled over by it . Beautifully written I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I must say it isn't the kind of book I would normally read but I'm so glad I did. I was transfixed by the love story that unfolded and ended up an emotional wreck at times. I'm now a big Ava Harrison fan well done Ava and thank you for choosing my son as your cover model

Peter Pan and his Tink
I wanted to love this book, but I didn't. Not to say I didn't enjoy it, there were just certain elements which fell flat for me.It took me a long time to warm to the characters and when I did, I still found myself getting frustrated with the back and forth between them. I completely understand why Madeline kept sacrificing her own happiness due to the circumstances, but it also just ultimately got irritating towards the end, especially her keeping the truth from basically everyone. The elements of the story I did enjoy was the banter between Nathaniel and Madeline towards the beginning of the book, the slow burn and the love to hate relationship. After that, things weren't the same and I had a hard time with some of the inconsistencies in Nathaniel's character and background. I'll be honest, as a Brit, it wasn't exactly believable that he grew up in England. That said, I didn't not like this book and I'm pleased to see they got their happy ending.

A must read!!
I don’t know what to say other than, absolutely brilliant!! I did not expect this story at all. I have been sobbing as I connected with this book on a personal level. Written beautifully. It has all the emotions you could possibly want. Made me check my little boy while he was sleeping and be grateful to be blessed with him.

Not bad but not great either
I had mixed feelings about this book. I think the problem was that I couldn’t really relate to either of the main characters. They are supposed to be adults but both seem to have stalled their personal development in college. If you are a fan of new adult you might enjoy this but there was too much growing up being done for me to really enjoy it. They should have had more figured out by this stage in their lives and both seem to have wilfully avoided any personal growth.I did feel sympathy for their idiot selves though and made it to the end so not all bad! It just didn’t really give me the feels or allow me to lose myself in the story. It was nice to see infertility as an issue in a novel instead of the all too popular accidental pregnancy trope....

I'm a fan of this author so was looking forward to reading Nathaniel and Madeline's story. Enemies to lovers is a favourite genre of mine and these two give new meaning to verbal foreplay. I loved their back and forth banter it was so funny reading the ways he tries to get under her skin.As well as the love/hate relationship there is a another story within this book which the author write sensitively and with such depth of feeling. If your looking for a book that will make you cry with laughter ibe moment and cry with sadness the next you'll love this story

My favorite book of hers, so good.
This has become my favorite by this author so far and I've read a ton of her books. It makes such an emotional punch without any jarring manipulation. Just wow. The s$x scenes weren't overwhelming the plot, which I kept thinking in my head, Hallelujah! This author really knows how to do it. Loved the story itself, and all the side characters. Nathaniel was written absolutely perfectly! And lets talk about how well it was edited. Bravo.

Great book
As usual, Ava Harrison knows how to turn a classic trope into something more. The story of Madeline and Nathaniel is between an ennemy to lover and a fake relationship. Theiir whole story is very moving...

A twisty, angsty ride full of romance, fun, and an abundance of charm...
Ava Harrison gives good troubled, alpha male. She couples him with a strong heroine and book magic shines. This story carries a familiar trope - commitment phobe alpha needs unlikely female to help him redeem himself. Sparks fly throughout until the two's feeling are finally realized. I loved the heroine in this book had her own very serious troubles that are so relatable to so many women, it shows a human quality and interesting twist to the familiarity of the trope. The characters here set the scene in a cutthroat atmosphere of fashion. Harrison's dual, first person POV writing pulls into both of those characters wonderfully so you find yourself invested from the very start. They are both well-constructed and even more well developed as individuals. Both with flaws and vulnerabilities that perfectly compliment the plot of the book. The chemistry never wanes but the coupling and the vulnerabilities wax so much it became a little cumbersome the closer I got to the end. Harrison's ability to create such charged banter and raw heat between her characters is perfectly romantic. Their propensity to internally self sabotage anything real adds to their likability. This is a twisty, angsty ride full of romance, fun, and an abundance of charm. Ava Harrison has become an author for whom I'll always read because of her perfectly romantic yet edgy characters and enemies-to-lovers relationships. This is a great weekend read and perfect for those who love the closed-off walls of characters within their romance.
