The Berenstain Bears and Too Much Birthday

Shipping and book condition were perfect.in our family we say you've had "too much birthday" when we mean u r overwhelmed. But i forgot in the book the kids play spin the bottle,and sister was so shy she would only kiss brother.( its presented as a normal party game)yikes...won't be reading this to the grandkids.

30 years ago my Mom read my brother and I these same books. My Mother saved our collection of 30 or so for the past 30 years. These books are still relevant... I'm reviewing this one because my daughter pointed it out to me on the back of the other BB books we had and of course this was the only one we didn't have(I remember it as a kid, but must have lost it) and had to order it off of Amazon. She needs this read to her Every night before bed. People, please understand this book was written a very long time ago and times have changed(you know, we tend not to play spin-the-bottle at kids birthdays anymore), so please do not go around bashing it as not age appropriate. If you do not think these books are appropriate for your children, then simply do not read them. On the other hand, my children love hearing me explain how times have changed since Daddy was their age(under 6) and what is now done today instead. Books like these are both fun for the Parents and Children. There are numerous "big" words that are used in the BB books that grab my children's attention and they are curious to know what they mean...the best is when they actually figure out a way to use them in their vocabulary and they are sooo proud of themselves when they do so. I have no doubt my children will be reading BB books to their kiddies in 30 years as well.

My son becomes overstimulated very easily. This book was great to help him understand what to expect at his upcoming birthday!

Berenstain Bears books always have good stories. They are appropriate for First Graders as far as difficulty. Papa, Brother, and Sister Bear are in the woods cutting down a tree. A discussion of tree rings leads to the planning of Sister's birthday party. Of course, the Bears overdo it with decorations and the entertainment. Sister Bear doesn't enjoy herself at the party. As with all Berenstain Bears books, there is a lesson to be learned in the end. There are also two pages of birthday stickers with the Bear family preparing for the party included in the book. My son and I enjoyed reading it together. I would recommend it!

What's NOT to like about a Berenstain Bears book?? My almost 5 year old boy is super into these books right now. We read one every night before bed. We have quite the collection, but this was one we didn't have. He was excited for a new one, and enjoyed the story line of this one.

Need a better way to send books because it came and the corner was folded and the whole book was bent to be put in the mailbox. Just came in a Amazon bag. Great book but got damaged so I was sad. My son who is 3 didn’t notice a bit though he loves it

Fun story to read at bedtime and for kids when they get older and start to read.

Great price. Good stories that capture the imagination while teaching a life lesson. My 4 year old grandson can’t get enough of these books. Very entertaining
