Chapmen set review
This set has a better case than my last, the pieces will stay in the case. It would be nice to add a few more bits, see a selection of available options.

Had to replace after 35 years!
I was a maintenance tech decades ago.We all survived thanks to our dependable Chapman driver kit and its never say quit ratchet handle. The reliability and extremely low profile allowed access into equipment that no other tool could equal. When the company shut down they let us keep our tools. I have used the Chapman set for many years. Finally I was too rough with a hammer and it jammed. 35 years isn't bad. I replaced it with the 5573 and the quality of the tool is the same and the convenience of the case is actually much better. Tremendous tool set!!

Excellent set with a few potential caveats
Obviously well crafted tools, and a very useful set. Instead of multiple PH2 bits, and too many slotted bits to count, Chapman includes all the metric and SAE hex bits you'll likely need, a potentially helpful "bit spinner", and two extensions.Unfortunately, I returned the set due to two issues.First, although I appreciate the handle quality and aesthetics, it doesn't feel as good in my hand as the equivalent Wera handles. Not as ergonomic, and I wish it had contrasting soft areas for better grip. More importantly, however, the handle doesn't lock the extensions in place, and although they weren't falling out during normal use, I prefer using Wera handles with a rapidaptor. The extensions do feature ball detents, but just don't attach tightly enough for my taste.Second, considering they also feature ball detents (and without the typical inch bit indent) the bits will likely only work well with Chapman handles. They do feel much more secure in the extensions than the latter in the handle, and they don't wobble, but I use a variety of handles, and thus prefer universal bits.Much less of an issue, but perhaps worth mentioning; the included bits are listed on easily lost card insert instead of etched in the case, and the bits themselves are too darkly colored to read the size markings. I appreciate the industrial aesthetics, but memorizing bit locations is impractical for most of us, especially if you don't carefully return each bit to its intended slot after each use. Finally, unlike every other piece in the set, the spinner is plastic, and a little smaller than I expected. It may be useful for some, and holds bits very snugly, but the knurling on each bit already provides enough grip for use sans handle, so it feels somewhat redundant. And without a place to attach it inside the case, it's likely to rattle around while moving, and might even fall out if the case is abruptly opened. That said, if the above aren't an issue, I suspect you'll love the set. It's (well) made in the U.S.A., very portable, and most of the tools are well secured in the case. An included card even provides the name of the QC employee, and I'd be surprised if Chapman support is anything short of best in class.

I've used Chapman tool sets for over 50 years
Fifty years ago when I was in a U.S. Navy technical school, the instructor recommended we buy this product. I've bought several versions of the product over the years as parts have become lost or stressed beyond reasonable limits. I've pushed the limits on a variety of projects over the years and always been happy with the results this tool set has given me.

Stay away from these
I bought the Chapman brand because it was Made in USA and I’m sorry to say they aren’t worth the money. First off the bits are proprietary, you can’t use their bits in anything other than their handles, I guess they forgot to tell us this. Second the bits are very weak and will break. Having the set for only a couple of months I had the need to use a S-10 bit, which is a T-10 for everyone else, while trying to get a screw out of a gun the bit broke in the screw head. I was going slow and only using finger pressure when it broke even with the top of the screw. Third their warranty is a joke. After the bit broke I called Chapman to see about getting it replaced, they said that I had to fill out a form on their website. Once they received the completed form they would get back to me, generally 2-3 days. The next day I got an email saying they reviewed the claim and it was denied, the reason, I must have over torqued the bit. They went on to say that if I wanted to buy a replacement bit for $2.50 they would throw in some post-it notes in the package. So the warranty is only what Chapman wants to cover, when they want to cover it. Needless to say I didn’t buy the bit, instead I went to Home Depot and bought a bit, that bit took out the screw with no problem. You have to wonder about a company that has such a shoddy warranty that they wouldn’t cover a $2.50 bit. Do yourself a favor and buy better quality from a reputable company that stands behind their tools. I’ll never make the mistake of buying another Chapman brand tool.

High Quality made in USA
I have used Chapman products for over 50 years and I still use the right angle driver that is that old. It is indispensable for tightening or loosening fasteners in tight quarters. This kit was a gift to my son. He does not know it yet but someday this tool will be the only answer for a tight situation.

USA made, equals quality made.
I’m familiar with the quality of this tool company, that’s why I purchased this tool kit. That, and the fact they’re made in USA, I love buying made in the USA products. I would’ve liked A little more driver bits for my money. I’ve already used it to tighten a screw on my pocket knife clip.—Russell Randant
