Not what expected. I should have checked weights first they just bounce around my filter system 😊. I'm sure they will be great for smaller systems.

Just received the 800 pcs ... Don't use stated product dimensions as your guide for filling a particular container. These balls "nest" and the photo shows the contents of a single box without the baggie it comes in... The measured volume of only 40 balls is about 67.5 cubic inches. After opening all the bags, I got 910 cubic inches in a fixed container ( Internal dimensions of 13" x10" x7" deep) ... In each group of 40 there were one or two groups of three balls nested tightly together. I separated these clusters for the final measurement.My opinion on the performance will come later.

These balls seem to be well designed to hold the bacteria

I can't say If they are working or not. my pond is a mess right now. One thing that is a problem is they float in the filter in the water falls.
