Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Unleashed: With Expanded Coverage of Parature, ADX and FieldOne

I bought this book to research the product, and it is very thorough.One puzzling thing is that a module has been added to Dynamics call "Project Service Automation"This book completely ignores the features of timesheeting, project management, resource allocation etc etcPerhaps this module was added to the product after the book shipped, but it is a bit puzzling why it is missing...I've registered for Updates to see if it gets added in the future (or even mentioned!!)

Based on previous editions/versions of this book, I bought 12 copies of this book to give to my team and received them today.It looks like Marc did a thorough job covering everything that CRM has to offer, and included both the technical limitations related to on premises integration which is key to our systems work.I wouldn't recommend this book for a beginner, but then I wouldn't recommend CRM for a beginner either.

The book offers a good amount of content. However, I was expecting a little more technical and hands on discussion. I found the material a little high level without details. But, a good read

This manual covers the most basic of basic things, but it leaves out a lot of central CRM topics that should be the staples of any CRM manual.

Some topics are vaguely explained.

Really not detailed enough of how to customize or work ith it. Was disappointed.

Have been looking forward to Marc’s latest release, glad to finally have it in hand.This is the definitive guide for Dynamics CRM 2016, has terrific code examples, including Azure and integration APIs, a must have for every Microsoft tech professional.

I needed to learn about Dynamics for work and this book was very useful. I have a programming background and found it to be a good overview that prepared me for doing my own projects.i

It did not help me to prepare for my test. Use Microsoft Dynamics training instead

We purchased this book to help in our transition from Salesforce to Microsoft Dynamics. Given the other reviews and the overview, it would seem to be the perfect book. However, it really didn't help us at all. First off, it does not discuss importing data. This is THE most fundamental thing someone might want to do but could not find anything related to this topic. Yet this is supposed to be the complete book.Also, you can tell this was a book where the author wanted to try and tell us everything he knew. Not necessarily written from the point of view of the reader or the learner but the teller. The format with so many tools, tips, notes, etc, make it almost unreadable, breaking up every topic so that it was hard to get a good sense of how to achieve tasks.In the end, found out more by watching videos on Youtube than from reading this book
