Really fun and easy to use
This tool is great. Fun results. However, the directions are lacking in that there is no explanation of how to lay out the fabric so you get the results you want. I was using it with a Christmas stocking. Neither the pattern nor the tool discusses fabric design layout - how the tool works with regards to fabric colors etc to get he look you want. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and when I did my stocking there still weren’t any explanations regarding layout. My stocking didn’t turn out quite how I wanted color wise but the execution was great. The tool works as advertised. LOTS of waste fabric. But I felt there could have been a bit more direction on different ideas to get the look one is searching for without wasting a bunch of fabric. Get the tool. Get some old fabric you don’t care about. Play. Once you understand the effects, it’s great fun!

Pros Outweigh Cons
I love this little tool. I used it to make my first twister quilt, and got a blue ribbon on it at our recent quilt show! The ruler is sturdy and looks like it will last forever, and the little feet on the underside grip the fabric better than any 'grippy' product on any ruler I've ever used.My only gripe with this, is that because of the grippy feet, the ruler sits up higher than normal rulers and it is hard (or maybe even impossible) to use a 28 mm rotary cutter with it. The reason being, the center screw part of the cutter does not clear the ruler. I have two 45 mm cutters, and only one of those cleared the top of the ruler for cutting! It was lucky I pre-tested it on a piece of scrap fabric before going to a workshop, because I only had my 28 mm cutter packed. As it turned out, I had to switch it out and bring a 45 mm cutter instead. I wish they could make these rulers with the same type of grippy feet, except use flatter ones. Also, because of the height of the ruler (due to the feet), you need to make sure your blade stays straight (vertically). It's easy for the blade to turn inwards underneath the ruler when cutting. But I got used to that pretty quickly and all came out well. All in all, I really like this ruler. It's a simple tool that produces consistently great results. Just don't expect the small size of this ruler to be compatible with a smaller rotary cutter!

Smaller than I was thinking…
Thought it was bigger (my own fault for not reading the dimensions), but otherwise it was exactly what I was looking for. I haven’t used it yet, but looking forward to trying it out….

Fun tool to use!
My granddaughter and I put this little tool right to work on some wreath quilts. It is easy to use, instructions included, great design. The results were very amazing wreaths, you would never dream from just looking at them that they are just square piecing! Keeping your rows organized is key, unless of course you enjoy a puzzle.

Makes Twister quilts so easy
I made my first Twister quilt without this template and had to mark the whole top with a marker then cut on the marked lines. Ugh. Then I got this to make my second one. What a difference! This makes it so easy to do. My only gripe, and it may not bother anyone else, is that the clear rubber non-slip feet were too thick and I had to really make sure to keep my rotary cutter perfectly straight so as not to undercut the squares. I took them off and replaced them with thinner non-slip tape and it's perfect for my needs now. All in all I love this template and just got a second one a few days ago to give to a friend who kept borrowing mine. The plexiglass is nice and thick, good quality. If I ever lost mine I would replace it with another of these.

Fun template
At first I thought this is a waste of money. But then I had a pattern for a gnome table runner. I tried it out and it was very simple to use and the blocks came out perfect. I could see just using it occasional as an accent block in a quilt or a border.

Lots of fun!
I loved making a quilt using this tool! However, i learned a few things while making my qult:First, it is very important to use a consistent seam allowance I didn't realize it, but my 1/4 inch seam was off and, as a result, I could not square up the quilt when it was finished. Secondly, it is really, really hard to cut all four edges of the tool with a rotary cutter accurately and safely. On my next attempt. I will try tracing around the tool and then cut with scissors.I am a new quilter so most likely if I had more experience, these things would not be a problem. However I think the key to this working beautifully is to be consistent, regardless of the method you use. I had a lot of fun with this tool and can't wait to use it again!
