I GOT GOLD
I imagine if my experience were more than this being my 1st, I'd probably have made more gold!. I need compact, wish I didn't need a folding sluice but it works and unfortunately, I need a folding sluice to fit in my car.Worth the buy for beginners and probably for experienced that need a compact travel sluice

It’s a portable sluice box
I like that I can pack in a real sluice anywhere. It fits in my backpack with my other gear. The sluice feels like a quality product and acts like one. To big just for testing in slower water, perfect for running material all day. Clean up was a bit of a hassle, but I think that was my fault. It’s a fun way to spend the day, and this sluice caught the gold.

Compact
Tri-folds and fits right in a 5 gallon bucket

Missing rivet
Rivet came out first use, or wasnt there, which makes it useless, due to the fact that the gold can escape through the hole left from the rivet.

Light duty only - see review
The design of this sluice box is really neat, and the weight is good, and when folded up it conveniently fits into a backpack or 5 gallon bucket. If you have ever been hiking with a sluice strapped to your back pack you know how appealing this is. I tried it out on 10/29/21 up on the American river, ran about 5 buckets of material through it, and it worked well enough but a few issues became clear right away. The aluminum edges of the sluice are unfinished and are extremely sharp. You will want to take a file or sandpaper to the edges before using. I gave myself a nasty cut, it didn't require stiches but it was close. The brackets for the carrying strap are cheap, and after being exposed to water for a couple hours you can see the rust forming already. These should be aluminum or a rust resistant steel. They really are not even needed, but if they are there they should use something that doesn't immediately rust. The black riffle mat that is glued on is already starting to separate after just a couple hours of use.The rest of the matting and riffles is held on by a bolt that looks like it is pressed into the aluminum and tightened in place with a wing nut. One of these has already fallen out.The biggest issue we ran into is the slot/post wing nut that hold the sections together are simply not strong enough to keep an unsupported section of the sluice from folding in when there is a lot of weight in the sluice box. Now this could be fixed pretty easily by drilling a couple holes in the sides and adding a pin or bolt to give it some additional strength, and I think that would resolve the problem. The wear and tear after one pretty casual day of work is noticeable. I really think this would only be a good choice if you are willing to put some work into the product and are using for very casual light use.In summary, it has a neat light weight design. Convenient to carry. The durability seems suspect, and there are a number of minor issues.1. Metal edges need finishing.2. Be prepared to reglue the matting.3. Attached bolt quality is low.4. Sluice easily folds on itself it not fully supported from the bottom when material running through it.5. The aluminum of the sluice is lightweight and soft, so it bends, scratches, dents et. pretty easily.I would like to add that I really do like the design, it just needs some refinement and finishing touches to be a great product. If you are ok with making these modifications yourself then go for it, having a sluice that convenient folded to fit inside a back pack was pretty awesome.
