Performed perfectly!
I purchased this for a trip to Iceland to use for my flat iron and it worked like a charm! On previous international trips I’ve fried hair appliances and used other converters that haven’t worked as promised so I did some research and selected this one. I’ve got a Babyliss flat iron and my friend has a Conair and both worked well while on the trip. Keep the instructions it comes with handy so you’re sure to plug in to the right spots. Love the travel bag it comes with to keep everything organized. Great purchase!

It is certainly worth the price!!
I bought this for my abroad trip. Works great. But you need to notice that there are two sockets of this adapter converter- adapter socket and converter socket. If you want to use a US 110V/120V hair dryer, choose the 2-hole converter socket, the other 3-hole adapter socket does work well with dual voltage 100-240V hair dryer, cell phone, laptop. This adapter converter is really great. What I like about it, is that we can use it anywhere around the world. So easy to use. It is certainly worth the price!!

Fried my flat brush with first use - true bummer!!!
I bought this to use with my haircare products when traveling to Morocco (240 V). My haircare tools are actrually rated for the dual voltage, but I wanted to be sure it would be OK. The first time I used this convertor, my flat brush was fried! A real bummer since my trip ended after the return window. Now I'm stuck with a converter that isn't safe and a flat brush that no longer works.

Got the job done
Bought primarily to power wife's 2000 Watt hairdryer while visiting Ireland and UK. The device uses a standard two-prong US plug which folds flat into the unit. You have to plug the unit into one of the country specific adapters, which (obviously) gets plugged into the wall receptacle. This means the unit protrudes a couple of inches from the wall. This may cause the unit to sag. This was very noticeable when we had a MacBook charger plugged into the unit, although there was sufficient contact that the charger was receiving power. There were times when the hairdryer seemed to be operating at less than normal vigor. Not sure if this was due to the converter or Irish power supply. Nice to have the ability to use as an adapter, converter, and USB charger in one package. The two USB outlets have a 2.1 Amp output total, so charging two devices at once will take longer. Overall, it did what we needed it to do.

Worked Perfect
Despite the bulkiness of it product it worked great. We were able to charge our battery backups in matter of 2 hours. Did use it our hair dryer and hair straightener in both Chile and Peru without a problem. We made a mistake and trusted the hotels adapter and used it with our traveling steamer, that was a mistake, it fried it. Should have used this instead and maybe we wouldn't be getting another one once got arrived back home. Use this bulky product and come home with all your appliances. :)

Know what you're getting into
As far as converting power goes, don't get your hopes up. I bought 4 different converters for my trip to London. Anything with a motor is never going to work right because of the Hz aspect, but this did an OK job on stepping down from 220 to 110. I used my hair tools for as limited of a time as possible to not permanently ruin them. This will be perfectly fine to use the USB ports for cell phones and tablets (along with other 220 compatible devices), but you're better off just using a plug adapter for those items since they don't need a converter and will take forever to charge on this. I will say of all the converters I bought, I used this one the most for my hair tools.....just set your expectations in a realistic place for any converter. I ended up using UK hot tools halfway through my trip because I was worried about the sounds and smells that my US ones were all making. I can't speak for how this works in other countries and will say the product itself seemed to be made with good quality materials and was easy to use/understand. Quality-wise it was the best out of the 4 I bought on all aspects and was in the same price range as the other 3. So if you're going to buy a converter, this would be my first choice. I'm only sharing this because these are the things I wish someone would have told me prior to my trip.

Doesn't work as advertised...
What others said about it coming out of the wall is dead on. It's heavy, the prongs don't come out far enough, and it, or it + your prong adapter will just pop right out of the wall. 2. Won't charge my toothbrush, NOR provide enough power to work my hair dryer. Best I could get was for it to give enough power to my Alexa Echo. 3. When it *does* work, it sounds like a bloody egg timer, except louder. Not worth it, and since I've relocated to the EU, non-returnable. Not worth it.

Good product!!
We recently went to the Czech Republic and used the converter there. It worked well, the hotel provided a blow dryer so we did not have to use it for anything that used large amounts of electricity, but it worked great for cell phone charging. We would most certainly recommend it to others.
