i was seriously in doubt on how this could be spill-proof, but it really is. bought one for our cats on our cross country drive, and it has not spilled. i’m not sure it’s the cats favorite way to drink water (they usually have a fountain), but it works. it is hard to empty the water.

This bowl may claim to be spill-proof, but my remarkably determined cat has ingeniously discovered how to maneuver it across the floor, resulting in some water splashing out in the process. He adeptly seizes the bottom opening of the dish with his paw, effortlessly detaching it from its mat and dragging it across the floor. He is one strong kitty! It would be better if it had solid sides without any openings for crafty paws to grasp. Furthermore, while the inner ring is intended to sink as the water is consumed, it fails to function as intended, likely due to its lightweight construction. A stainless steel version might offer a solution, providing added weight to the bowl for improved stability and functionality.

My doodle puppy has made a mess with every other water bowl. She hasn’t spilled this one yet! I love it!

This spill-proof, splash proof, slobber proof bowl probably works fine for most animals but my cat had no problem turning it over ans spilling water all over my floor.

We are full time RVers, and needed a new solution for the water dish. It needed to have non-slip pads on the bottom, and be "spill/splash resistant" enough to survive being slightly bumped by either us or the dogs in a small space. This was just the ticket. Easy to take apart to clean, and the pups took to it right away and figured out how to drink from it. Thought we'd have an issue with the "oh my word - it's NEW AND WEIRD" syndrome. Not so. Only adjustment for us is it doesn't hold as much water as our previous dish did so we just have to refill it more often. No issue there. Highly recommend.

My dog would do laps in her water bowl if we let her; nose all the way in and water everywhere. This bowl solves that problem perfectly. The only thing I don't like about it is the capacity. At 50 pounds and in Florida heat, our pup goes through a lot of water and we have to refill it pretty often. But a dry floor is worth the trouble!

From the description, I thought it was going to hold the water down, underneath the top cover. But, there is always water on top of the cover. Another issues is that my small dog had trouble pushing the cover down with his nose. Would be better for a large dog.
