DANGER - DANGER - DANGER. Product not sold as described!This was one of the worst purchases we've made on Amazon. The vendor claimed it was made in the USA -- it is made in China. The vendor claims it's not sprayed with fire retardants. It is, and the amount of VOCs off-gassing are enough to make one lightheaded. The actual weave is low quality and seems to come undone with minimal effort. I am shocked that this item was falsely advertised as being natural. The only thing that's natural about it is the fiber. The rest is a man-made chemical amalgamation of dangerous compounds that are not meant to be inside one's home, let alone near where people and animals may be.If you like pseudo-natural rugs that make your home smell like a petrochemical factory, will unravel with minimal usage and aren't actually made in the USA as claimed then this one is for you. If instead you value your health and how your money is spent, look elsewhere. I am returning this item.

This rug smells like a chemical plant...not happy at all. Will decide whether or not to return in the next day or so...right now, the smell is so strong, it's giving me a headache...

This rug is a good value and I am pleased with my purchase. The biggest drawback is the smell. I have to leave the windows open and even with that, the entire house smells of his rug. Hopefully the smell will disappear in a few more days. Also the size was a bit smaller than 9' x 12" by a few inches, didn't bother me too much though. There are some dark spots (doesn't look like a stain, just a dark area in the fibers) and little "nubby" areas in the rug, but not so noticeable when you look at the rug. Overall I would say it is a good buy if you are looking for an inexpensive rug that is made of natural fibers. I chose the "marble" color and it brightens up the room nicely.

Great neutral rug for our dining room! Love the natural fiber, but it's not rough under foot. The non-slip backing is perfect. We purchased the 8x10 and have been very pleased with it so far.

My second safavieh sisal rug. First one had a rubber backing on the entire back of the rug and was the marble weave. Slightly flatter weave. I like this tiger paw weave as it is a bit tighter and thicker. However the backing is not solid rubber it is more like rubbery dots on the back with a cotton in between. Not thrilled with that part. It is staying put okay for now but it seems to ripple more easily. I will give it a few days to see if it is a keeper or if it needs returned . It does have a new smell to it. Most rugs of this ilk do so I am not surprised or bothered by it.

After only having the carpet for 5 weeks the rubber backing is disintegrating. The carpet was still in the original bag until it was removed to place it yesterday, five weeks after purchase. I have rubber all over my house from the carpet. Not a good product.

I am obsessed with this rug. It's perfect for the space. I am so happy it bought it. It doesn't require a mat underneath bc the backing is non slip.

I had purchased another area rug when we moved into our apartment but it only last 2 weeks. It was the same price as this 8x10 rug but the quality was terrible. I found this rug and crossed all of my fingers that I would have better success. And I did. It's PERFECT. I have three dogs and it's nice for them to be able to walk on this without pulling out any loops or seems. It's very easy to clean and maintain. It's not as soft of a rug to walk on (personally) but for the money, it's a great value and for a high traffic area, it's perfect!
