I buy lots of laptops for work and Iam Trying out HP because dell has been a hit and miss for me the last couple of years, had cameras and TPM chips go out even during warranty so I am hoping HP will cause me less problems.

16GB RAM, 512GB Model
No problem with the laptop itself. The item was packaged/protected well, and actually arrived a day early. I am replacing an 11 year old Toshiba Satellite so obviously this is an huge upgrade. Runs as well as expected, other than the battery does not last very long, which is the price you pay for screen real estate. The only problem I had is that I specifically ordered the model that came with Windows 10 Pro...and it arrived with Windows 11. Besides Windows 11 looking like a MAC OS, the wife was not ready for the change. If this was a mix up fine, however if this model is no longer available with Windows 10 and the listing was just not updated, then that is unsatisfactory. If not for the fact that I was going to wipe the laptop clean and start with a fresh install anyway, it may be a problem for others. So, if you need a larger, mid-price laptop, nothing wrong with this one. Nothing spectacular, but works as it should.

Very Pleased
Rather impressed with the operation of this computer out of the box. It comes up lightening fast, ready to work! I was seriously considering replacing my 6 year old desktop as well, but may just invest in a docking station instead.Note: It arrives in Windows 10 Pro S Mode. Unless you only run apps available in the Microsoft Store, you will need to disable this to install other programs. It's an easy process and the computer will guide you to it.

Make sure you buy the third party warranty! Uses non-HP parts.
I've had this laptop for about 10 months and love it. However, the hard drive failed several months ago and gave me a boot disk error. After working with HP support they asked me to send the laptop in for repair under warranty. Once they received it, they said it had a non HP hard drive in it and refused to cover the repair. Luckily I had purchased the third party warranty when I purchased it. According to HP, it's common for Amazon laptops to have non-HP parts in them.Other than this small problem, which can happen with any computer, I love this thing.

This is really good, excellently priced quality laptop
This is a great mid-priced laptop, I have looked everywhere and hardly find anything that beat this price. It comes 17.3 large screen, 1920x1080p, and even Backlit Keybaarod. I have been using my old generation desktop from years o and I finally gave in and upgraded. I wanted to prortability of a laptop but wanted something powerful enough to run everything. This thing is fast and runs mostly every current softwares smoothly.

No Excel or Word
Mine arrived without Excel or Word installed. Maybe I am missing something here because it was suppose to be for home/Business. I'll update if I can find it installed somewhere...but as of yet...nothing.The laptop itself is nice though.....

Hard drive dead after only 8 months.
Computer was awesome until the hard drive crashed. Spent HOURS trying to run diagnostic tests and worked extensively with HP support - all to no avail. The thing is DEAD. Hoping they honor their warranty - even if they do, I'm going to be without a computer for a long time. Not happy.
