Get This Set!!
I've been thinking about getting a feathered ink pen for a while and when I saw this cool Winged wolf stamp ,I had to order it!. Shipping was fast! Under 24 hrs and the kit seems of good quality. The winged wolf stamper bottom is removable!! And has the exact same design on the back side as well. I have no regrets in getting this! The pen writes well but I didn't try out all the different tips.

Omg love it!
This would be such an amazing decor piece if you don't actually use it. Solid material. Doesn't feel like cheap plastic. Definitely recommend it!

Great set for someone just getting interested in calligraphy
I love calligraphy and using old fashioned dip pens. My favorite to use are actually reed pens but I have several glass dip pens and feather pens like this. I was mostly interested in this set because of the unique and cute winged wolf on the wax seal handle and the pen handle. I also collect wax seal stamps and the unique handle was really what made me interested in the entire set because most wax seal handles are just boring wood handles.I think this is an excellent set for someone who is just getting into calligraphy. It comes in a nice box that you can continue to use for storing your set if you'd like. It also makes it great for gifting. The materials are good, but they aren't high quality. For more experienced calligraphers they might already be attached to specific nib and ink brands that they feel are the best and they probably already have similar cheaper collections like these. The nibs that come with these are pretty universal and will fit just about any universal pen. They do give you a small variety of nibs including wider tips suitable for scripts like uncial or gothic as well as more narrow tips suitable to many modern scripts.Though I like the look of the pen, I personally find it difficult to hold. It's not the most comfortable, but it's useable. I didn't care for the ink. It's more watery than I prefer and I actually had to add a little gum arabic to it to thicken the ink up to a better working consistency. It's not an ink I would preferably use on anything but I've been using it on practice sheets that will just go in the recycling once I'm done practicing on them. The nibs that come with these don't have any reservoirs which means they need to be reloaded (dipped in the ink again) more frequently. Better nibs can always be purchased and used with the pen though. The pen holder is cute and holds my pen nicely when not in use. I like the look of it and it has a decent weight to it.The wax included with this is a stick wax that traditionally you light the wick and let the wax fall on the area you want to stamp. I don't like these much as they also tend to leave a little soot in your wax which can spoil the look and I find that it takes too long to drip enough wax to get a good seal impression so some of the wax starts to cool and is no longer able to press with the stamp. Personally, I'd recommend chopping it into pieces and melting it over a candle furnace or just holding a spoon over a tealight canlde. The wax will all melt and be ready to pour at the same time and allow you to make an excellent wax impression without any soot in the wax. The wax stick will work by just lighting the wick and dripping it over your letter but it isn't my personal preference and isn't the best method. You could also look into different types of waxes you could purchase separately such as wax sticks you can melt and use in a hot glue gun, wax seal sticks without the wick, and my personal favorite wax seal beads (3-4 beads is perfect for this size seal and you can easily mix and match colors for marbled looks or custom color mixes). The stamp itself is a nice quality, the handle works with all modern standard stamp heads and is so much cooler looking than the plain wood handles. It doesn't add a lot of weight compared to the wood handles and it seems to be fairly sturdy and durable.Overall, it's a nice kit for the price and would definitely make a nice gift.

Very cool old world set, also suitable as a collectable that can be used for special occasions.
My friend is a WOW player, and likes old world type of things. Surprisingly, when I attended school in the early sixties desks still had holes for ink wells, and students were issued standard fountain pens. My dad had a number of dip, cartridge and suction bladder ink pens. Some of them with gold plated tips and ornate bodies. Some people still like the elegance and simplicity of that era. Sending snail mail sealed with a wax stamp, and cursive writing for both content, and addressing is a cool way to communicate, and make an impression. Great for making invitations. You can create documents and with modern day laser printers and such, duplicate them, or awards or other interesting uses. The quality here is first rate, and the workmanship seems good, to have it work functionally is good to.Bear in mind that like those felt tipped markers and pens. This does not work well with porous paper, and has some issues with shiny clay filled as well. You need a balance of paper types to work well. A thick parchment will do, but may be hard to find. Makes a great gift, recommended.
