best read in a long time
I don't like reviewing books, but this one has changed my mind. Being a writer myself, I can say I wish I had written this one. It was simply written, in the present tense, and the personalities of the two main characters were spelled out clearly so that the reader could readily become involved with each of their circumstances. The author does not rely on similes, fancy wording, or complicated background information of the characters that, so often, is overused or not needed. The story moved along at a fast pace, and I looked forward to picking the book up each and every time. Many times a story is predictable and, therefore, holds no excitement or intrigue for the reader. The predictability of this book, however, only added to its enjoyment.

Suspense and Romance all in one!
This is the first book I have read by this author and I was not disappointed! Great storyline of suspense and romance that kept me reading till I was done with the book. A new and refreshing plot different from most romance books and I liked the characters who have a lot to work out. As I read the book I feel a range of emotions for George and Amy and wonder if there relationship will make it through the violent crime they are involved in with her daughter Grace. Lots of twist and turns and I was not sure how the story would end. Loved the book and look forward to reading more by Joanne DeMaio.

Suspense and Moral Dilemma
I really enjoyed this book. The main characters were very believable, and both were likeable, which made George's dilemma about participating in and telling the truth about a crime involving Amy and her daughter so compelling. The stalker subplot was very suspenseful. I loved the descriptions of Amy's home and the wedding lace which created a peaceful backdrop against the crime she had been victim of. I'm not sure if Grace ever really knew who George ' was' but the mutism was an interesting twist. The only thing I would criticize is that the ring described was obviously going to be what revealed the truth. Not sure if I agree with Amy's decision but loved the book !

first read by this author
this was the first novel that I ever read by this author and I liked it so much that I have ordered the rest of her books--dealing with Stony Point beach life. Very entertaining author and looking forward to more of her books.

Accidental Crminal
Interesting plot that puts a couple in vulnerable positions and looks closely at the demands of family and conscience. Focus on the effects of crime on the victim and her sense of safety its well done.

Great Reading
Everyone says this but it's true - this is a book you can't put down. I was so anxious to see how it ended that I hurriedly read the last few chapters. This is the first book I have read by this author and certainly want be the last.

A good light read
Revisiting the small town that is the subject of her other books, True Blend, is a nice light read but its not as insightful as the other books Joanne DeMaio has written.
