This works perfectly for me to make a cup of turmeric coffee. Since curcumin has low solubility in water, it is suggest to mix turmeric with oils. I used to pour oil and turmeric in a spoon then heat up the spoon a bit with low heat on a burner of my stove top. I then whisk oil and turmeric with another spoon until they are well mixed before I pour them into my coffee. With this stainless steel coffee cup, I can do everything (including the cleaning afterwards) in one coffee cup. And since the cup has a much wider opening than a spoon, I don't need to worry about over spreading the turmeric on the counter or stove top anymore.Updated on 1/21/2017:The original silicone tubes on the handles did not survive higher heat on stove. I had to replace them with high temp silicone tubes (amazon White SiliconeTubing, 3/16"ID, 1/4"OD, 1/32" Wall, 10' Length).

Effortless return but I'd stick to the GSI or better yet the Ozark/Walmart version
This product is HUGE. It is way too big to nest a stainless steel bottle (specifically the 40 oz. Klean Kanteen). Mine arrived with a damaged handle/hinge. Effortless return but I'd stick to the GSI or better yet the Ozark/Walmart version.

Well made, measurements are useful.
It is great that this is steel rather than aluminum. The measurements are useful - my daughter is a type one diabetic so we need to be able to measure food on the trail.I wouldn't heat food in this directly on an open flame, but it would work around the edge of a camp fire, maybe on a hot rock.It is a good multipurpose size.

Perfect coffee cup/water pot
I haven't used my new backpacking gadget yet, but so far I love it! Perfect size, comfy handles, will fit perfect in my single burner stove, and my Nalgene 48oz bottle nests perfectly in it!

Nice hiking/camping cup
I have used this cup numerous times while hiking/camping and its worked just fine. The measurements on the side are a very nice bonus when your adding water to meals on the trail. The silicone handles have saved my fingers from getting burnt.
