Saved an expensive new office chair
I got a $260 office chair from Vine. Yes, it 's free, but I do have to pay income tax on it as an independent contractor--so not totally free. The chair was like a torture device. It replaced my old chair which was like a torture device for different reasons. I did not have high hopes for the cushion as all reviews for the many cushions I looked at were so mixed. But from the second I sat on it, it made ALL the difference in this stupid chair with the mesh "saggy bottom" and too long back.I ordered this based on the "hybrid" nature of it--squisjhy memory foam on top, but firm regular foam on bottom so the whole thing doesn't bottom out. It holds up to it's claims! I am 200lbs and the first 2" does squish down most of the way, but the rest keeps me fully supported and cushioned. If I had a complaint, it would only be that you have to sit EXACTLY right on it--square in the center, or you lean or list to one side. As a person who regularly dashes in to check something quick and doesn't always sit square in the chair--this has been a bit of a learning curve. I'm also finding out that I don't sit evenly sometimes, even when fully fitted into the chair. Sometimes I notice one side or the other being a bit highter and I realize I need to shift. Probably a good thing, as it's retraining my posture.Very happy with cushion overall.

Great cushion: Highly recommended
I am writing this as a lightweight (110 pounds), medium-framed female (other people of different sizes and weights may have a different experience). I have had this cushion for just under two weeks and have found it to be very comfortable and increasingly so. To use it, I found that I needed to change my office chair to one with a back that is straight (rather than concave) at the base, because the cushion is mainly straight in the back and that is the only kind of chair in which it is possible to push the cushion all the way back. At first, the cushion did not feel like memory foam, but instead like a block of hard and dense styrofoam. But after using it for a couple of weeks, it does feel and function like firm yet comfortable memory foam, molding to one's body. So, I would recommend that people try it for a few weeks before concluding that it is too hard. I wanted a cushion that is sufficiently firm and thick that it will not collapse and will continue to provide plenty of padding between me and the hard chair, which at least for me at my size and weight, this does very well. For my size, the cushion shape and size is excellent and very well designed. There is only an inch of cushion on either side of me. The way the cushion molds with one seated on it, it ends up being just slightly higher in the front, which is important so that it is not angled downward causing one to feel that one is sliding off it. The gap in the back is also well positioned and more comfortable than if there were no gap. I have not had a reason to use the carrying handle on one side of the cover, but it is a good feature. There are two reasons I have this four stars rather than five: 1) even though I am only 110 pounds and have been using this for less than two weeks, the cover is already starting to show wear; the company should really start selling replacement covers; and 2) although the gripping dots on the bottom are good, the design would be much better if it had optional ties in the back that could be tied to the rungs of the back of the chair. My chair does not have arms to hold the cushion in place on the sides, and because the cushion is high and reduces the space between the chair and the desk, it makes getting in and out of the chair challenging to do while keeping the cushion in place. Even without adding ties, if the company were to add small loops at the back corners (like mini versions of the strap they already have on the side), then the customer could optionally use two ties of their own to tie the cushion and their chair using those two loops. At present, there are no loops to which one could tie ties. All in all, a great cushion, and highly recommended.

Helps with knee problem
This cushion is advertised as being good for tailbone pain, but I purchased it to help relieve the pain from a knee injury. I spend at least 8 hours a day working at a desk. My desk chair is not high enough, even at its highest setting, so when I sit in it I end up putting weight on my knee. Instead of helping my knee rest & heal, sitting resulted in a stiff and painful knee and was slowing down my recovery. This cushion is about 3 inches thick, although it does flatten a bit when you sit on it. It has helped raise my butt so my knee is no longer taking as much of my weight when I am seated. After only a week using this cushion, my knee is really starting to improve so I am very happy I made this purchase. The only downside is that because this cushion is thick, it requires that you take some time to push yourself all the way back in your chair, so you don't feel like you are going to fall off of it. If you get up and down from your chair a lot, this might end up being more of a pain than its worth, but because I stay seated for at least 30 minute intervals, this is well worth it to me.
