Beautiful and fun to build
It took me a few days and the end result was very satisfying, it’s a beautiful wall ornament and I love the manual mechanics for the calendar, now I enjoy checking the time! Definitely an intermediate build for customers that are committed to a project, not something to buy on a whim because the parts are delicate and there are few replacement parts. My singular critique would be having some extra pieces of the extremely small binding wood pieces since they’re so small and fragile, and very easy to break, and it’s frustrating if they’re damaged just during the build and there are none to help you finish the project. Other than that, a lovely wood project that I had tons of fun making

smaller than i thought but looks great.
I had to change the location that I was planning on hanging it because it looked small. I hung it in another location and it looks great.

My husband bought this for himself but we ended up putting it in together on a Friday night with vino! It's lovely and makes a great piece to have in our office! And it works perfectly!

Ingenious mechanism
Wood is quite sturdy. Laser cut is clean, but exercise caution removing parts. Only the smallest parts needed sanding. Don't sand unless you must; check the fit first and only sand what you need to. Most parts fit securely. This build was fun and challenging; not an easy build. The end of Step 11 entails fitting two major assemblies together. This is where I got frustrated, as pieces kept falling out, and I had to glue two pieces to finally succeed. Instruction diagram is clear, but with limits. Scan QR code for videos to help, and figure out the rest, it's puzzle, after all. It took about 14 hours in no particular hurry, over four days, but 2 hours on the Step 11. All in all it was a lot of fun, and the mechanism is fascinating. This is my third build, but certainly not my last. Highly recommended. Best of all, my wife likes it.
