Decent antenna
Was easy to set up, there are videos that these degrade over time - we shall see. This is a gp6 and it brought in repeaters I could not hit with my 2m loop.I have a m18xxx beam for long range and this gp6 for general chat. I’ll be upgrading to a 9 once my tower is installed.

Gmrs
It works great for Gmrs I have a 1.1 at 50 watts with about 50 to 60 feet of coax RG213 plan I putting up to 35feet in spring. All tho feeling like I don’t need to

Built to last and functions excellently over both the 2 meter and 70 cm bands.
Very well made. I use it with LMR400 and LMR 240 microwave coax with an N-type connector between splices to prevent power loss in the 70 cm band. It works very well with noticeable extra sensitivity over a 5/8 wave mobile antenna. Shows low SWR across the 2 meter and 70 cm bands. Cleans off easily with spray benzalkinium chloride. Mine has been up 4 years and the radome is still in very good condition (no cracks in the fiberglass even though it has never been painted or coated). Only needs a good ground to make the ground plane active. Japanese manufacture which shows good quality. The coax is recessed so water does not get into the connector. Comes in two sections that are easy to connect. I would call it marine quality as the ground plane and mount are stainless rather than aluminum and mine has no corrosion after 4 years in the air. Cost a little more than some others but is the most well made antenna that I have seen anywhere. Wish I had another one just like it.

Excellent 2-meter antenna
The GP-6 was very easy to assemble, and all of the parts were present.I mounted it on my roof with a ROHN 3-ft tripod, a 10-ft mast, and no guy wires (I don't have room for them). It's been through some fairly high winds over the last several months, and has been fine.I'm using it with about 100ft of LMR-400 coax. I put an antenna analyzer on it, and it had an SWR of 1.1:1 across the 2-meter band.I'm using a 5-watt Yaesu HT, and am getting into my local repeater (about 15 miles away) with no problems, full-quieting.I highly recommend this antenna.

Great Antenna
Mounted this at the top of the old 3 story school building I live in probably about 45' total and connected to my Yaesu Ft-991a.I've hit 2 meter repeaters as far as 120 miles away under good conditions and consistently get good signal reports on 2m simplex. SWR on 2m stays right around 1 to 1.3 throughout the entire band. What really blew my mind is when I hooked up my little 8 watt Baofeng to this antenna and was hitting a repeater about 60 miles away well enough to have a decent conversation.Haven't really tested it much on 70cm as there's just not much around here on that band but the SWR is under 1.5 on that band.I originally wanted to get the GP-9 but was out of stock so went with this GP-6. Maybe I could have gotten just a little more gain out of the GP-9 but honestly this one exceeded my expectations and am perfectly happy with it.Highly recommend this antenna.

Great Antenna
I had a TRAM and it was ok, but not able to transmit or recive so this Comet is great. The best dual band I have ever had
