I refinished a 25 year old beautiful oak swing we’ve had forever it seems. When we bought this new, it was handmade by a great artisan at a flea market in Hillsville, Virginia. You can’t buy this swing anywhere else. This flea market is only held every Labor Day, then it shuts down. I’m so glad we splurged and bought this swing as it has really held up well in all kinds of weather! However, the chains were rusted really badly. I took the chains off and saved the screws used to hold the chains on the swing. After I sanded, and sanded, and sanded, I was able to apply Cabot Australian oil stain onto the oak wood swing. It is just beautiful! The black coated chains just look gorgeous! Better than ever! I’m so proud of myself for doing so well on this project. The chains are a good quality, heavy, tight fitting. The company sends you nice carbines to hang the chains, but I didn’t need those, so I just used them the best I could. I need something to make the swing hang about two inches lower. It is just a little to high up for sitting in comfortably when you first sit down. My feet barely touch the ground or porch. These are just beyond wha5 I expected. Very nice chains.

Our wooden porch swing is 30 years old. The original chain was exposed to all the weather elements all those years. Rust set in and soon, nothing would clean the chain. I purchased this set in early Spring. It is perfect. The links are thicker than the original chain set, and it makes me feel safer in terms of supporting heavier adults who may visit and choose to sit on the swing. It's been nearly 3 months and the chain is just as shiny as it was the day we put it together.

This kit fit perfectly. Very high quality due to the weight of the parts.Might need oil to stop the noise level after some use.Love the black color with our charcoal siding. So many people ask where we found the black!

Very sturdy chains, does its job. Brought my old swing back to life. Installation was easy and the chains fit well. It was overall a good value for what we needed.

Glad we ordered the black chain. The weld points on the links are harder to see and overall the chain looks very good on our patio swing. When I placed the order without any premium delivery upgrade, I thought it would take about two weeks. Surprise! I received it in just a couple days. The whole process was easy, the product is quality., and the shipping was very welcomed.
