As promised

The product arrived, and I have to admit I was skeptical from many of the reviews. I slipped the old Body Glove unit off and installed the new AFC filter. It went in easily. Then I started the tap to activate the filter. The instructions say to run it for a few minutes. It took quite a while before the whitish residue flushed out and the water was clear. But it did clear, and the water tastes great. Several of my recipes call for filtered water, and this unit definitely fills the bill.

Does not fit like Body Glove as advertised

Simple to install… good alternative to the more expensive brands!

Installed the filter Thanksgiving morning and purged it for 20 minutes with tap water. Served filtered water in a clear glass pitcher for Thanksgiving dinner. The next morning the inside of the pitcher was coated with a white powdery residue. I filled a water glass with filtered water and it was foaming like beer. The unfiltered tap water was clear.

Water is not clear, I am very disappointed. It is in my kitchen. I have to let it go through and waste a great deal of water to try to male look as clear as possible. Big disappointment. Do not buy!

I decided to try this compatible version to save money. Big mistake. Takes terrible, sort of metallic. My daughter was concerned that we were ingesting toxins. Using a brita while I await the original Body Glove part. IDG (seller) will not process the late return even though the product is defective.
