Tejaswini's style of writing is fantastic and strikes up instantly with your life experiences. I loved the cover page, which makes it look cool. Poems are written in a beautiful way and are filled with lessons to learn and explains the journey of love in a beautiful way. Do read this book if neurons in your brain fancy some meaningful connections. :D May the forces be with you writer.

Smokes and Whiskey, as rightly said is a journal yet it strikes a chord with a lot of us. Each poem tells a story which we have probably lived half or full.The collection takes you through ups and downs of relationships, trust, love, dreams, heartbreak and strength. It might be a trigger or it can be a beautiful way to begin again. I personally love the way words are placed, photographs are set and the pieces are not titled. I think they don't need a title, the words say it all.At some point of time probably after 25 poems, I wanted the sun to shine brighter but it happened a little late when the collection comes to an end. Choice of words, expression and the boldness at the end of every poem. Bang on!If you are a poetry lover like me, you will not be disappointed. For all the accolades, congratulations Tejaswini and I'd love to read more of you. Thanks for the smokes and whiskey! :)

Honestly, I bought it after reading reviews on Amazon but it's not up to the expectations. There is something missing..that touch, deepness and maturity. It's just flat poetry with some fancy words used in between.

Intimate, like stepping into someone’s bedroom for the first time. Universal, because we’ve all been through the same wringer (and if you haven’t, you’re not living!). Tejaswini just captures it more exquisitely than most of us can. Timeless. Shuffle these pages with those of Sapho, Catullus and e e cummings. See what I mean? You’d think that in all these millennia someone would have discovered a better cure for hopeless longing than transmuting it into poetry, but apparently not.

This book is primarily about heartbreak. And, not about life, relationships in general as it claims. I was mislead by the description.Naaah, wouldn’t recommend unless one is heartbroken and seeking to vent through reading.

They say poetry is the best metaphor for life! Indeed!As you keep Reading, the writer takes you along with her, on this beautiful journey! Yes some of the poems can be really intense, but isn't that life all about!!?It is a matter of proud privilege for me to meet the writer in person!So yes! Go for it!!
