Unique flavor
The photo shows the seaweed brands I've tried in order of preference.Jayone: crisp and lightly salted. Delicious at a bargain price. These are great with a meal or just to satisfy those evening cravings. I also cut them up and take them to the theatre in place of popcorn. These are a tiny bit saltier than the gimMe brand.gimMe: very similar if not quite as salty as the Jayone, just a little more expensive and slightly more oil. They seem to flake a little more than the Jayone, but are still very good. I do like having the option to buy 10g trays or 5g trays for taking along as a snack or addition to a meal.Black Label Gourmet: driest and least salty of the bunch, but still a nice crunch. A little different flavor because they're roasted with olive oil instead of sesame or sunflower. They taste a little less sea-like and a little more earthy. These are the ones I like to use to roll salmon or tuna.Wickedly Prime: I can't recommend these at all. Though they supposedly have less salt than a couple of the other brands, they are terribly greasy and taste so salty I couldn't eat them; neither could my family. The only thing I can think to do with them is rinse them and re-roast them to see if they improve. Definitely not worth buying.

Best seaweed you can buy in US
As a seaweed eater since childhood (Im Korean), Ive had +30 different seaweed products, and this is by far one of the best ones ive had. First of all this meets the korean seaweed standard in terms of quality, and ingredients where there are more than 1000 companies in the market. The organic oil really compliments the ChunYil yum(Korean premium salt), giving perfect balance in saltiness and crispness. I have not found any other seaweed products in US that match this quality, and this is a good bargain for the quality.

Super Tasty and Organic! and guilty free as it has such a low calories!
I loved the taste of Gourmet 555 seaweed. It is awesome and tastes really good. I have a 6 year old nephew and even he likes them (of course after strongly resisting trying them). The seaweeds have a nice lightly roasted, but you can still taste that salty + nutty taste , along with the crispy crunch bite that makes me feel like I am having a chip. Basically it makes me feel less guilty and even good about myself cause I feel like eventually I am having something good to me. (Way healthier than potato chips)I used to buy seaweed (or sometimes Nori) at Sprouts & Trader Joes but they didn't satisfy my needs. The reason why I liked Gourmet 555 was also that is was USDA organic. I liked the fact that it had a certified seal so I can trust what I was eating. My tip to make the best out of this seaweed is to have them as a snack with wine (or whiskey). Only 29 calories (AMAZING) with that great flavor is the best part since you don't need to worry about having too much. Another tip will be using them as a snack for weight loss if you are that kind of person who just can't give up eating (like me)Glad I finally found this place where I can buy organic seaweed at a great price!I definitely coming back to buy more in the future!

Excellent with ramen, yakisoba and onigiri
Our family eats a lot of nori (Japanese for dried seaweed sheets). We eat them with onigiri (rice balls), yakisoba (fried noodle dish) and ramen (noodle soup). Sometimes, we eat sheets of nori by itself as a snack.Japanese nori is commonly unsalted and unflavored. Preparation often includes toasting the nori before eating as well as brushing it with seasonings like soy sauce or mirin.Salted and seasoned seaweed sheets are also tasty. They are especially handy with onigiri because you don’t need to add seasonings to the rice ball.We purchased the Korean brand Gourmet 555 Black Label, attracted by these features:1. Organic seaweed sourced from the Seocheon region2. Sun-dried sea salt sourced from Shinan region3. Organic olive oil sourced from Spain4. Non GMO, no trans fat, no cholesterol, no MSG, no sugar, gluten free, veganOur family has consumed about two thirds of the original package (16 packs, 4.5 grams each). We’ve tested the seaweed in onigiri, ramen, yakisoba, and as a snack. Gourmet 555 Black Label is delicious! We’ve already placed a second order. Please see our photos of Gourmet 555 Black Label.Rating: Five stars

Tastes good.
I just received this and the quality seems really good. This is my first time eating roasted seaweed. The flavor is nutty and fishy with a hint of salt. I got it to have around to snack on when I am having crunchy/salty cravings. I think it should suffice. The nutrition label on the individual packages doesn't match up with the nutrition label on the large outer package. I'm going with the large outer package, because that makes the most sense. It seems very, very unlikely that 2.5 grams of seaweed is 145 kcal. The outer package says 29 calories for a full package, which makes more sense to me.I'll probably try the Costco brand before getting this one again, just to see if it is a better value.I received these on 7/1/17 and the expiration date is 3/21/18.

With a good balance, the sea salt on this product deepens ...
As a self-proclaimed connoisseur, I regularly buy a variety to try out various brands of roasted seaweed. Package arrived promptly. Bottom line: This product is memorable. Let me tell you why.My evaluation is based broadly on three aspects: flavor, freshness, and crispness. To begin, this product manages a subtle use of sea salt. This is deliberate choice from a production standpoint: using more salt could provide strong (albeit basic) flavor. With a good balance, the sea salt on this product deepens the flavor of the seaweed. Second, the product does not use artificial flavoring to enhance taste and preservation. This reveals its main strength: because the seaweed is freshly prepared, the seaweed is crisp and savory without relying on typical preservatives and other additives. The honest use of sea salt and olive oil is its naked appeal. Instead of masking the organic taste of seaweed, the producer makes a clear effort to provide an authentic experience.TL;DR If you truly appreciate good seaweed, give it a try.
