SELKIRK CORP 104460 4-Inch Galvanized Pipe Collar

I installed a new propane heater in one of our greenhouses and had to also change the vent pipe and needed this where the vent pipe passes through the polycarbonate siding.

This did what I wanted it to do which is cover the hole around the vent pipe from my water heater. Wished it was thicker and less flimsy. 4 screws aren't enough to attach it to the wall as it bends so easily.

It fit perfectly around my boiler vent pipe. Covered up the rough edges left by a contractor. If you don't want to pull your piping all apart to get it on, it can be easily cut with tin-snips. That's what I did, then just put the seam on the back side of the pipe where I can't see it.

This galvanized trim collar works well to finish the wall or ceiling penetrations made for 4 inch "B" vent. It can easily be painted to match the surrounding area. Mounting holes need to be drilled for screws to attach the collar to the ceiling or wall.

Planned to use this trim collar to replace an old collar that fit around a water heater vent pipe that passed thru the ceiling. The old trim collar was thicker and flat, but rusty. This collar is thin and arrived warped and dented and does not lay flat against the ceiling. Also, the hole is 4.5 inches in diameter, not 4 inches as advertised, so it does not fit tight against the pipe which is exactly 4 inches in diameter. Not usable

so i had written another review of this product and am now down grading it even further it is absolute crap the description says it's a 4 in pipe the actual dia. of the hole is 4 1/2in'' the stamping is warped, and the cutting die marred as both pieces that i ordered have the same defects in the pattern. the edges were completely unfinished, and the product sticker was excessively glue to the surface making removal way more effort than necessary. I waited way to long for this crap and will not send it back because i am certain the return would be more of a waste of time.

This item is very well made. It will fit perfectly around a normal dryer size vent hose. I tapped 2 screws threw it to secure. It was very secure and I am sure it will do exactly what you need it to.

didnt like that the item appears to be black in add and its not black -also sticker that was attached did not come off easy and left glue all over item. I wouldnt recommend this item

I installed a water heater and figured I'd go the extra mile to make it look nice. This piece is a waste of money at 30 bucks, not only that after I took it out of the package, all the shipping and product labels were on the face out side so I had to peel off the stickers and glue, which isn't a huge deal. But the piece is all tweaked and won't lay flat on any surface. I keep trying to flatten it out but good luck with that. zero stars.
