Freedom fighter or terrorist?
I wasn't sure about the start of this book- it sounded a bit old fashioned and colour and wealth conscious ( although I accept that this was/is true of Sri Lanka and the rest of the world) However when the real story starts it was fascinating to hear of the conditions the Tamil Tigers lived in, how the women fighters coped with day to day life and the positive and negative sides to the Tiger movement. This story feels very true and is really worth reading.

Heart wrenching ordeal
wasteful war that had fought more than three decades by srilanka government and ltte , got it nothing but left it sad and sorrow amongst the peace loving people

Didnt realise this all went on in my life time.
Shocking and heartfelt is an understatement. I recently visited Jaffna on a tour of Sri Lanka and the reminants of this era still exist today. So sad and harrowing that such beautiful people cant live in peace in such a beautiful country even now. Let's hope for the future x

Good
If you're looking for great literature, this book will let you down, but it is a good read for anyone knowledgeable about the civil war and wants to know from someone who has apparently had first-hand experience. I found it very interesting and easily relatable.
