Perfect! Exactly what I needed to help with the tendinitis in my ankle/foot!
I'm a 5'7" 250lb woman size 10 shoe with a wide calf narrow ankle. I ordered the medium boot. I've worn it twice now and found it slightly challenging at first to set it up. BUT, that said, everything is velcro so it allows you to align the entire boot and liner to your shape and size. My injury is tendinitis in a tendon on the front side of my right foot at the junction of the foot and ankle. I have full range of motion in my foot and ankle with intermittent pain, numbness radiating to my 2nd toe and swelling of this tendon with annoying tightness popping and clicking. My podiatrist recommended 4 wks in the boot to rest the tendon throughout the day. ("anytime my foot hits the floor") I was instructed that I can sleep without it on. I'm not up and down all night long thankfully. This is how I set the boot up for myself. First, I removed the front plate to access the fabric liner and it's velcro closures, secured my foot inside the liner somewhat snugly and replaced the front plate that velcros to the liner but noticed the pump ball and inflate/deflate valve where not allowing it to line up centered on my leg. The pump ball and valve are movable with velcro also, so I shifted it to center and was able to line up the front plate perfectly. Instructions on other boots indicate you should close the toe velcro first, then work your way up the leg. The toe guard is adjustable as well, just lift upward and squeeze inward where it attaches on the sides and line up into the 2nd or 3rd hole accordingly then lay back down. This is a thick soled boot and I highly recommend an "EVENUP" sole for the other foot and wearing it over a tennis shoe on the opposite foot to keep your hips in alignment. (The EVENUP is adjustable in height with a removable layer and I felt like removing that layer worked well with the height of the sole on my tennis shoe). I purchased this through Amazon also. All in all, it was less expensive for me to purchase these two items through Amazon than having to pay $99 at my local medical supply company as they didn't accept my Cigna insurance for the boot only. I was able to shop for a boot that appeared to meet my needs as a dental assistant and be OSHA compliant with the closed toe. I hope you find this review helpful. I took a chance on this product and it was worth it so far. I wish you the same experience.

Don’t skip on this boot
When I broke my ankle, my doctors office recommended I order a boot off Amazon to save money and lead me to this boot and another one. The price for this boot cannot be beat.I’ve been wearing this boot for 3 1/2 weeks now and it has held up really well so far. I can wear this for 12 hours and not get uncomfortable. The extra pads provided made it so my shin was protected from the hard plastic on the front. The toe cover is very easy to remove and meets my works requirements. I do have a few problems with the boot. The first is that the foam on the bottom kept sliding forward when I first got it. I ended up supergluing it down and now I have no problems. Next, is that it seems as though it needs a strap on the top in order to keep the hard plastic cover from sticking out very far. My calfs are on the larger size and If I have to tuck in my pants to the boot, the cover doesn’t stay on with just the small Velcro pieces on the front. But overall, this boot is great for the price and I’ve had a good experience wearing it.

Help for broken ankle..great for klutzes
Direction ok but also went to YouTube for more details. After 2 days I have mastered it. Great quality, toe guard (good cause I'm obviously a klutz having broken my small toe on this foot 2 years ago...wish I had this..same price as lousy flimsy one from orthopedic center....absolutely no comparison...easy to clean...great liner, easy pump...may take a few days to master need to change pressure during day depending on activity level...takes a day to learn balance...I have balance problems..thus the ankle..so I use a walker rather than a cane...slower recovery but I stay upright....normal pain reduces quickly...I not panicked to have my dogs jump accidentally on my leg knowing boot keeps ankle immobilized and stable...felt a bit heavy to walk less than 2 days....toe guard a plus walking up steps or moving around furniture or kitchen cabinetd..remember I'm a klutz

Needs work!
As the story goes, the days of the mom & pop shops are long gone. My podiatrist gave me a script for this boot. No Pharmcy carried the boot. All the old surgical stores were closed gone out of business. I had to order it. No problem. But it came with no Directions!!I find that to be an issue with items that I order online! This being a medical device - was particularly annoying! How was I suppose to know how tight to inflate the pressure of the boot? Simply ridiculous?I had to google to try & find the correct answer & return to the podiatrist’s office!Additionally, the Velcro straps should be a bit longer so they will wrap around the boot & stick entirely on the Velcro. Otherwise the straps get caught on the fabric of your other leg pants. Just a side note, I’m 5’10 with very thin legs. The straps are just not long enough. One last comment, I feel the base of the insert/sleeve should have more padding for the sole of the foot.
