Wasted Talent, But Good Blu-Ray Quality
I really like Bill Murray, and I really like Rashida Jones. And I really wanted to like this movie. But both Murray and Jones just sleepwalked through this film. I didn't feel invested in either character. The extremely thin script certainly didn't help. Not a funny movie, not a dramatic movie, just dull. Such a waste of great talent. One positive, not related to the movie itself-- Apple TV, after initially releasing this on its streaming service, did finally, after about a year, release this on disc (I watched a Blu-Ray). I wish more streaming services would do this (hint, hint, Amazon!). Some of us do like to collect films on DVD/Blu-Ray.Again, Amazon may want to consider doing this with its own movies and TV shows that right now are, for the most part, unfortunately not available on disc.

Sofia Owes Bill Murray, Big Time....
Somebody commented how superior Sofia's film is to Woody's last picture. Even if Woody's burned out, which he is, at least his neuroses ----still running rich and deep --- are interesting. Sofia, on the other hand, has only the brilliant Bill Murray [who, let's face it, kicked Sean Penn's ass and deserved the Academy Award back in the day] going for her. Nothing works when Murray is missing. The lack of chemistry between Rashida Jones and Marlon Wayans is painful [and the dialog between Jones and her ditzy friend is lame]. How could the director of films as witty and fun as Lost in Translation and Somewhere end up making a film this empty? Maybe Sofia's gone to the well once too often with the father/daughter thing. It seems like she's stuck on this subject with nothing new to say. Bertrand Tavernier's Daddy Nostalgia, starring Dirk Bogarde and Jane Birkin, covers the ground in way more affecting ways.

OOOOPS!
I love Bill Murray but this movie is so not worthy of his talents. You can tell he never really got into this film, nor did I. A mere slip for Bill M. A really bad movie!

Great Movie and Cast and Writting
This move was the best I've seen in quite some time. Not much from Hollywood these days that is good any more but this did not disappoint. Great cast, story, production and even cinematography. Feel good movie that fully delivers. Cant go wrong especially if you are a Bill Murry fan or just like a good movie done right.

Waste of potential Murray's talent and viewer's time
Boring; never even finished. Lots of potential talent led me to view but totally disappointed. Level of bland script, stock shots edited together, and really no story made me wonder if someone was under contract to produce a film by a certain date and this was the contractual obligation. All I can hope is that potential is still out there for future ventures.

Charming
Could've been longer, but was a wistful nod to marriage and parenting...

Caution Region Locked "A"
Great movie but just a word of warning..... you'll need a region free bluray player as it's locked to region "A" (USA).Annoying as I purchased it from Amazon AU (Australian Amazon site) and there was no indication that it wasn't suited to our local region "B".

On The Rocks.
I liked it,I didnt love it,but I liked it.Its nothing special. It kinda has you guessing,is it a set up?But im not telling you.Its just a nice film,Bill Murray does what he does best,he plays,Bill Murray.Theres few smile moments, theres a few,oh,bless moments. This is a better than average movie of Father & daughters feelings for each other and for a changed not enstranged. Its certainly worth a watch and im keeping it because its in the same league as Murrays,Broken Flowers & Lost In Translation. Its not a movie smothered in comedy but at the same time doesnt take itself too seriously.Nice one again Mr Murray & Co.
