Headliner is made using two layers of fabrics with a layer of non-tear radiant barrier sewn in the middle. Outer fabric is durable fabric laminated to 1/8" foam. Inner fabric is standard headliner fabric: thin knit fabric laminated to 3/16" foam. Radiant barrier is a two layer non-tear material and can cause issues with Satellite Radio. If you don't want the radiant barrier material just let us know.
