True Blood: Season 6

Item was better than advertised and arrived early.

I am a True Blood fan from the start all the way to here and still do enjoy the show. I never ever try and give away spoilers to anyone who might end up buying this season of the show based on my review or of other amazing reviewers. But season six was shorter just being only 10 shows has to put more into each show, but didn't take away from the overall stroylines. Season six had mutiple storylines but for all those out there that said the writers stink at writing a good storyline for all the characters those people are totally wrong, the season as a whole was intense, mutiple sepcial effects, and 2-3 twist that made me go OMG that did really just happen. The writers still did an amazing job with storylines for the main characters Sookie, Bill, and Eric, so if you have issues with the rest of the cast oh well I like most people watch the show for those three main characters and always will. I will admit their was a twist I didn't see coming at all with sookie which you have to watch to find out, also with Eric my mouth drop open when the scene occur, I was like did my eyes just see that happen. In closing season six was not as bad as everyone was saying it was as long as you keep an open mind about the other characters and don't go into it with a close mind from the start based on what you read from other reviews. As a fan from the start it lived up for me and was happy with the turn out as the season ended with normal cliffhanger as any good show does for the die hardcore fans wanting more.

I wasn't sure that I would like this show. But once I got into it, I had to see all the episodes. The three main characters do an unbelievable job in their roles. The two main vampires, Bill and Eric, are scary but compelling. And Sookie, the female lead, is charming, gentle, loving, and strong all at the same time. This three way dance is captivating. There are also a host of other strong performances. Pam's devotion to her maker, Eric, is tenderly portrayed. But we should not forget that this basically is a love story and throughout we're waiting for the big reunion. Both Bill and Eric love Sookie. Eric is very handsome, tall, and nordic. He tends to be a bit savage at times but not with Sookie. You can tell he really cares for Sookie. But Bill! Well, when Bill talks about Sookie his facial expression and body language tell it all. He belongs to Sookie. He looks the way all women want a man to look at them sometime in their lifetime. (Nice job, Stephen Moyer!) So if you're interested in a love story within a series of vampire, fairy happenings this is the one for you.

TrueBlood continues to enthrall, but I must admit that occasionally I played CandyCrush whilst simultaneously flicking my eyes toward the iPad screen, so in short, the early episodes of TB's Season Six were not as riveting as past seasons'. The Lilith plot grew tiresome, and I began to forget why she mattered at all, then The Authority subplot came to mind, and I said, "Oh, yeah, that's why." The werewolves/shifters subplot with Alcid drugged me with its melodrama, and frankly, the subplot seemed designed to fill time. However, midway the episodes became more interesting and kept CandyCrush at bay. The writers continue to mimic and mock our current times' angst, casting the Age of Uncertainty on fairies, rednecks, vampires, and werewolves, making them our avatars. And, of course, just when you think Bon Temps will get a break . . . . it doesn't, and I can hardly wait until Amazon releases Season Seven, where this skein of craziness will be resolved. I hope.

I fell in love with this show years ago as I was putting together a propane grill for a 4th of July cookout. I needed something as background noise and this happened to be on the TV at the time. I think HBO was really trying to push and have the show catch on. As I sat assembling the grill I became more immersed in the show. I finally got the grill together and made note that I needed to go back and watch the pilot. Fast Forward to season 6. Vampires, werewolves, shape shifters, witches and fairies are part of the norm in Bon Temps, LA. The ongoing stories of normal people interacting with the supernatural characters is interesting and evolving. I've seen characters spin 180 and others do a 360. Alan Ball (Six Feet Under) started writing and producing, but I think now he's just producing. The seventh season is the final for this show. I'm sad to see it go but ready to put this story to rest in an oversaturated market of vampire shows.

I still consider " True Blood" and the screenwriters effort to stay "true" ( forgive the pun) to the books from which the story originated. The stellar cast and character development , the use of time sequences ( a director art rarely done well anymore), just a few examples of the high quality of producing, directing, and especially acting that had me looking forward to Suday evening Episode for the first time in decades. Thank you for making it available for Amazon Prime customers, and in my trial month so far the duplication of Prime and Netflix are not the redundancy I had previously misjudged as being, the variety of both combined is certainly a piece of the puzzle to "cutting the cord" as I have been trying to accomplish. I think the core characters are still my favorite part of this series and it still remains a great metaphor for discrimination across gender race culture etc. I think Alan Ball is brilliant and he brought on a great group of writers but I do think True Blood needs to finish in the next series, it makes sense and all good things need to come to an end.I do wish that the relationship with Pam and Tara had not been so vaguely treated or dismissed in this series, that seemed a little like they just didn't want to do the work to develop this, that said all else was fun I still enjoyed every episode and not being a vampire or zomby fan ever -True Blood really did turn that concept on its head.I look forward to the final series.

Penúltima temporada d'aquesta gran serie ... que potser va perdent la pistonada de les tres primeres, però que mereix la seva visió. Gran preu en aquesta edició alemanya amb l'audio en l'original i castellà.

Ja leider ist es die letzte Staffel von True Blood. Aber die DVDs sind wirklich super. Händler hat nicht zuviel versprochen. Ware ist super. Werde Sie weiter empfehlen.

Für mich die bisher beste Staffel.Klar, jeder hat einen anderen Geschmack, aber mir gefällt Staffel 6. Einige Charaktere werden mich zwar immer nerven (Sarah Newlin zum Beispiel und Jessica war mir auch schon mal sympatischer) und die Qualität der einzelnen Episoden schwankt doch sehr.Als Mann wird es mir auch immer ein Rätsel bleiben, warum ausgerechnet die eher farblose, langweilige Sookie die schärfsten Kerle anzieht - Muss wohl wirklich an ihren inneren Werten (Feenblut) liegen. Jason ist nicht ganz der dumme Tropf der früheren Staffeln, sorgt aber immer wieder für Lacher.Mein Liebling aber wird immer Pam bleiben mit ihrem trockenen Humor. Die Szene von Pam mit dem Psychologen ist für mich das Highlight der Staffel. Ich hoffe, Pam geht nicht irgendwann in Flammen auf.Der Splatter in der Episode "Lebensqualität" entschädigt für eine bis dahin eher blutarme Staffel.Schade, an drei Abenden waren die 10 Episoden vorbei.
