I have been disappointed by many wi-fi adapters over the years, so I was hesitant when buying this one. I'm glad I did. Very fast and reliable signal.

I bought this to use with a Dell OptiPlex 7050. It's a nice size, and downloading the drivers was easy using the link in the manual. When it works, it works well: similar performance to the TP-Link T3U AC1300 dongle, which I also own. However, it has two flaws: 1) When running Speedtest, I usually run 3 passes and take the average; to minimize traffic issues, etc. The adapter consistently gets good download numbers on the first pass (180-200+ mB/sec), but drops off -- sometimes, markedly -- on later passes. (I've sometimes seen numbers *less than* the upload speed!) I can't explain it -- heat? software? -- but it's repeatable, and no other adapter or built-in I own does this. 2) If not used often, the adapter goes to sleep, and while it will wake up, it won't reconnect to the Internet without unplugging/replugging it. I can live with #1; I can't deal with #2 in my situation. Maybe turning off power management would help, but other adapters I own don't need this step.

I have a one gig fiber optic service but never get over 250mb transfer with this adapter. Which is fine for me, but is way lower than is implied in the listing.

It works as intended, although I had a hard time installing the drivers as my computer didn’t have wifi as that’s the reason I bought the adapters, luckily my uncle was able to figure that out for me. I also found out that this is not a 2 in 1 which is fine, if you’re Bluetooth works. I don’t know much about computers yet but I am learning, however my uncle didn’t even think they still sold bluetooth-less wifi adapters anymore. Again this is all fine, I’ll just use it until I can order one that does, I just wish that it was more clear that it is not a 2 in 1 adapter

I had bought a piece of crap computer from amazon. It came with a 2.4 wifi dongle (that should tell you the quality of the dell (refurbished) I bought. HOWEVER, the dongle is plug and play, and works great.

This adapter works great. It comes with a disc for drivers but I didn't need it. Perfect plug and play adapter.I think it's a little bigger than id like, but works perfect.
