Initially I went to Staples and they wanted $30-$50 for their converters. While I was there, I quick looked on Amazon and found this gem for way cheaper. Came next day and it works great with my Chromebook! No issues after a few days so far.

Just what you need to be aware of if you are the product I think it's a good product... In order to use your phone with the projector you need to use an HDMI adapter.. I do think that the instructions were confusing. But so far it's a pretty good item that and I most certainly don't regret you know ordering it. But if you plan on using your phone with the projector you need to be aware that you're going to need an HDMI adapter that can work with your phone

Bought this to hook up a 32” curved monitor to my new MacBook Air. Works great as far as video clarity and transition from my laptop screen to the monitor and back again. Here’s the problem. I run Quickbooks on my MacBook and the strangest thing happened. While plugged in to the adapter my computer wasn’t writing to the Quickbooks company file I was in. It appears to, but when you back up, or even sign off which triggers a backup, the software would go unresponsive and eventually I had to force quit to get out, resulting in ALL the recent data being lost. The backup failed and the new data inputted was not on the company file either. Hours of work lost. Both Quickbboks and Apple support spent hours with me on the phone and couldn’t understand the problem. One thing was for sure, the issue persisted while plugged in to the adapter, and immediately resolved when I wasn’t plugged in. It has to be the iOS interface having an adverse reaction to the connector for some unknown reason. Anyway…be cautious when using this adapter.
