They feel nice in the hand, and look nice. However my 5’ girlfriend dropped one (not that many feet at her height) on vinyl tile, handle broke right off. As I recall it appeared there was some material other than copper in the wall of the mug, near where the handle broke off. I hated to do it, but I cut into the existing mug (see pictures I uploaded), both around where the handle was, and on the opposite side of the mug. It was solid copper. When I (purposefully this time) broke the handle off, it came off quite easily. So I can say the mugs ARE SOLID COPPER, and also the handles do not take too much force to come off. A VERY moderate drop should do it. For lower priced items I buy on Amazon, I usually don't bother returning them, not worth my time. So the company certainly may have replaced my item if I asked. In this case they did it based just off my review. Because of that, and because the mugs are solid copper, I am going to four stars. I just can't go to five, due to the handles breaking off so easily.
