Was skeptical but I can clearly see there the best.
The sakura gelly roll pens... Said to be the best of all gel pens. So I finally decided to buy some. I decided in the 12 pack of metallics. So I swatched them and then I also swatched similar colours of a unamed brand. Firstly let me tell you how the sakura pens felt. The pens easily glided onto the paper very clear and very bright. The colours did not seem to fade much as it dries. The handling of the pen was different. There a little bigger to hold than I'm used to. The pens worked as soon as I used them. No scratching so tapping no shaking to get the ink moving. The pens look to have a good amount of ink. Only time will tell how much use i can get as I colour in some pictures. The colours were very nice. The only one I was greatly disappointed about was burgundy. It looked lovely on the pen lid colour and I was thinking it would be a darker red. It's not really it's very much like a browny purpley reddish colour. Not one I'm that keen on. This was kinda annoying but never mind.Overall once I did the colours together and studied them all I can now definitely see the sakura shine alot more and look smooth. The cheap brand barely shine compared to gelly roll pens. And there not so smooth at all when compared to sakura.Would they become a favourite? Yeah most likely but it's the cost I worry about. I don't think I could use only gelly roll only forever because I colour with gel pens on there own so that's alot of pen ink I use.The price is expensive obviously. It's a shame they can't just be a little cheaper. Just a few pound cheaper and I could definitely excuse myself buying more. I'm very much now wanting to try the glitter ones as well.I hope my review helps. I do have pics and a vid I can hopefully upload. (i cant seem to find the add photo or vid buttons now) Im sorry x

Original Sakura Gelly Roll Metallic Pens in New Packaging
I own just about every Gelly Roll pen and purchased these in the hope that Sakura had introduced a new finish. I've tried these pens side by side with my original Metallic Gelly Roll pens and there is no difference so Sakura have just updated the packaging they use for their pens. If you already own metallic Gelly Roll, don't worry about buying this set as they are no different. I've given them a four star review as the finish that these give is very subtle with a very fine metallic shimmer and I don't believe that they are quite as good value as other pens in the Sakura range. If you're looking for sparkle then Gelly Roll Stardust pens are what you need, they are, in my opinion, the very best of the Gelly Roll pens - they write beautifully and have a very sparkly finish. If you're looking for a shiny, glossy finish, try the Gelly Roll Glaze pens - the amount of gloss you get will depend on the smoothness of the surface on which you write.

Good quality, smooth writing, but a bit expensive for what they are.
I bought these to add detail to alcohol ink paintings. Make sure the ink is really dry if you do the same as they will stop rolling/writing. They are of better quality than the usual supermarket gel pens, but at £18 for the set, I think they were £8 too expensive. I probably wouldn't buy them again for this reason, although the quality and colour selection is good. The silver looks a bit too grey when used, the gold & white gave the best results, but the other colours blended in nicely with the colour of the inks, making the the added detail a less obvious addition which was pleasing.

Pricey for pens but oh so worth it
10/10 I love love love these pens they are the best.Even in craft stores those top selling pens can leave marks in the centre that are clear and the ink pools on either side ( it’s annoying) well with these it takes only the lightest of touches and it glides on the paper like silk. Leaves a flawless finish and doesn’t dry dull I like some metallics. Some colours weren’t as vibrant as I’d wish but some colours really excelled and are beautiful. Would recommend to anyone who wants a nice neat clean finish especially if you write in cursive as this glides so well for it

Great but maybe not worth THAT much...
Really nice to use! I think the colours are curated to be stylish but I guess I was expecting vibrant colours. These are metallic, not sparkly in case you were looking for that. Not sure any gel pen should ever cost this much but like I said, nice to use.
