We have ordered these lights on 3 occasions. We use these outside on our house, we do nothing to "protect them from the weather", which include snow, a LOT of ice, freezing rain and wind, yet over the course of 5 years they hold up EXTREMELY well and we just keep adding lights to our house. I HIGHLY recommend these lights, they aren't too big, they aren't too small, we get a LOT of compliments on our decor every Christmas season. We are in a prominent area, so it's high visibility, and these lights really show up well. We have just recently ordered 2 more, however these will go on our Christmas tree inside our home, You can buy these with confidence that they are really good lights, they last and last and have always arrived well packed/protected. You'll enjoy these for a long time to come.

They look good and good colors and many different patterns and the price was good. The wires are strong and they fell from five feet and the light covers didn't crack. Would buy again.

I ordered two sets of these lights and I like how they work with one another. I have since then ordered 3 more sets and they all seem to synchronize perfectly. Would recommend for anyone looking to get a nice set of Christmas lights

Really needed some good Christmas lights for the front of our house. Previously we had gotten some solar Christmas lights, and even though I thought they worked pretty good, my wife wasn't a huge fan of them because they didn't get super bright. Ordered these and set them up with a smart outdoor outlet to link to HomeKit so they'd be on a timer that's easier to manage and control. The brightness on these are great, the bulbs are a good size and these were easy to put up with clips. I also like the fact that you can buy more down the line and link them all together quite easily. My only complaint with these are the fact that when they are turned back on after my smart outlet turns them off on the timed setting, is the fact that they don't stay on the mode you had them on previously, they revert back to the first mode. Is it the end of the world that I have to go to the outlet and click the button until it gets back to the mode I want every day. No. Still annoying though. Besides that small issue I'd definitely recommend getting a set of these if you're in the market.

I ordered 2 of these....1 multicolor and 1 white. One of the controllers' memory function worked fine with the timer only but not without the timer function. The other controllers' memory function worked fine WITH or WITHOUT the timer function being used---so that if you used your own timer for 4hrs On or 8 hrs On (instead of the preset 6 hrs on) it would indeed remember the function you had it last set for. So, if you're satisfied with 6hr On preset timer, then all is good. But if you don't want to use the preset timer function for 6 hrs On and use your own timer OR unplug and plug it back in there will be a 50% chance that the controller you receive will remember your last function you set it for. (could be a higher % chance; however, I can only calculate % based on receiving 2 items with 1 working fully with memory function.

We use these on our primary Christmas tree indoors. This is year three of using these lights and we've had zero problems with them. We keep them on the regular setting, as there's not another we like particularly well. They look great and are a nice warm color without being too yellow. The bulbs are a nice, medium size C6. I've purchased more since the original ones.

First, the advantages of these lights: they're very inexpensive for what you get, the wiring itself is solid and of good quality, and the individual lights are quite bright. If the manufacturers had stuck to just these aspects of the product, they'd have a winner here, a very nice set bright set of lights that would look great in your tree, in your bushes, or hanging from your eaves. Once you get them running, this is a very attractive set of Christmas lights.The problems come from the "quality of life" features, which are nearly all implemented very poorly. The biggest complaint I have with them by far is the silly way in which the timer/controller has been implemented. As the other reviews state, every time you apply power to the controller, the lights come on in a mode which rotates their function through eight different lighting modes. This means, if you plug these lights into your own dusk/dawn timer or if you plug them into a smart outlet or if you just turn them on with a switch, every time you turn them on, you're going to get this rotating mode. And six of the eight modes are wildly unattractive.Let's be clear here: these lights have NO twinkle function amongst the eight modes. The two modes that the manufacturer call twinkle modes are in fact *strobe* modes. If the lights were green or orange, these strobing modes would be perfect for Halloween, but are very unpleasant to look at as Christmas lights. Five of the other eight modes are various versions of back-and-forth flashing of the same color lights or versions of extremely slow dimming and brightening of combinations of the same color lights. There is also no real "chase" mode: the chase-like mode is alternating "all red and green on together, all blue and yellow on together".So, you'll want to power the lights using the included timer. You use the same button to set the timer as the button you use to change modes. Hold it down for three seconds, and the lights will stay on for six hours, then turn off for 18, then repeat. You can then press the button a number of times to get the mode you want to "lock in" that mode while the timer is active (I locked in solid lights). BUT, if you have an electrical outage, or you have rain that trips your GFCI circuit (very possible as the controllers are not at all rain resistant), the timer setting will be lost and you'll have to set it again. In all cases, this means waiting until the right time to turn your lights on, then going outside and setting the button on the controller(s).All in all, it's a headache. I appreciate the lights for being bright, pretty, and attractive once they're lit, but I'm not sure they're worth the trouble it takes to get them working properly.
