My son is taking photography classes in college and needed a well made padded camera bag that would fit in his backpack. We couldn't find anything suitable at any local camera stores or big box stores that was in his budget range. This bag is the perfect solution. There's lots of room for extra lenses, batteries, and storage cards, and he likes that the inside padding can be reconfigured depending on what he's taking with him for the day. When it's in his backpack, there's still plenty of space for his laptop and everything else he needs for his classes. The shoulder strap is a nice feature too for when he goes out for assignments and doesn't want to take his entire backpack. I figured it would be just enough to get him through is first two semesters, but the quality is so good it might last a much longer time. He's very happy with it!

I had been searching for an alternative to the typical DSLR backpack for over a year, when a recent vacation forced my hand and I decided to try the G-raphy Insert Bag. I can't stand the look of the typical Lowepro camera backpack. And as much as I drool over the Peak Design Every Day Backpack, I can't justify the price. Particularly when I have a very functional, nice looking, 25L backpack that just lacks camera storage features.Pros:-For my recent vacation, I wanted to bring my Sony a6000, Sony 18-105 lens, Sony 70-200 lens, Rokinon 12mm lens, and a flash. The G-raphy Insert Bag swallowed all of this gear with ease.-The bag slid right into my backpack (LL Bean Ridge Runner 25) and left enough space for a pouch with all of my camera accessories, a laptop, a tablet, laptop accessories, and a waterproof bluetooth speaker. It is the perfect size to provide real camera bag capacity while still leaving plenty of room in my backpack for other non-camera gear.-Construction seems solid through one vacation with heavy use, and the padding is adequate for a bag that I carry on my person. I would not use this bag in checked luggage.-There is no "fast access" feature. However, by orienting my camera body towards the side of the bag opposite the "hinge" and keeping both zipper pulls on that side of the bag, I can retrieve my camera from my backpack bag quickly and without looking inside.Cons:-As noted in the title of the review, the dimensions listed by the manufacturer are not accurate. Measured external dimensions (keeping in mind this is a slightly squishy soft-sided bag) are 9 5/8" x 12 3/8" x 5 1/4". Measured internal dimensions are 8 1/2" x 11 1/4" x 4 1/4". The difference from the listed dimensions did not impact my satisfaction with the bag.-The padding, as noted above, is adequate but not cushy. This is fine for a bag that will be kept inside another bag, and will not be subjected to large drops. I prefer to think of the G-raphy as providing organization, rather than protection.Verdict:The G-raphy turns my favorite backpack into a capable camera bag while still leaving room for extra gear. It has ample capacity and can be configured for a variety of photography load-outs. If you already have a backpack you love, but need a way to make it camera friendly, this is the best product I have found for the task.

I needed a supplemental bag for camera bodies or my lens inventory. This works well and a fraction of the cost of other brands aimed at the professional user. I measured my gear (essential before you buy a bag) and the final fit was just perfect. Construction quality is good. I wouldn't consider this a good component for external carry (thinking cushion layers and weather resistance) but it certainly is well-suited for inside another bag or backpack. I'm pleased.

This will fit a moderate kit. I used it to carry an a6500, two small lenses, a small microphone, and a bunch of miscellaneous cords while I was overseas one year. It actually fit everything really well, and the dividers stayed in place.

I prefer inserts to stuff in my backpacks for casual shooting and street work. If I only carry one main camera, two lenses and a couple small point and shoots. The insert is well made, craftsmanship of my example was excellent. Fabrics are superb, padding adequate, but not drop proof. Excellent zippers. As one person said the lid pouches are not of much good as things slide out. I use it for my photo business cards. In this picture I have a Canon RPwith 24-105mm attached, a 35/1.8 macro, a Sony RX 100M7 and a Canon GX7Mark3. It can be arranged to hiold my 70-200 f4 L attached as well. Great insert you won't be disappointed. BTW my example measured 13"x10"x6" exterior. 12 3/4"H x 9 7/8"W x 4 3/4"D

This is pretty solid, and protects your camera gear well when lugging it around. You can slot into a cheap and boring laptop so nobody knows you are carrying expensive gear. However, it wouldn't be good if you were actually using the gear (so it's more for schlepping thru the airport and trudging through crowded touristy streets on the way to your hotel. It would be very difficult to get the stuff out except perhaps from certain backpacks that zip all around (like a suitcase) while actually taking pictures. But very good value. Also, would be good for one bag travel so in case some creep makes you check your carryon, you can just pull out your camera insert bag and keep it under the seat during the flight while risking all your other possessions in the hold.

This camera insert is awesome! I bought it to line the inside of my Fjallraven Kanken backpack and it fits like a glove! I have been looking for the Fjallraven brand camera insert for over a year (it's sold out everywhere and is discontinued) When I decided to look to Amazon for an alternative the G-raphy did not disappoint! Turns out not 4 days after I received the G-raphy camera insert I finally found the Fjallraven brand camera insert (figures) in one of their brick-and-mortar stores...well, let me just tell you the G-raphy Camera Insert blows the Fjallraven brand camera insert out of the water! It's MUCH better quality and zips completely closed. The Fjallraven brand doesn't have a top or zipper and is made out of a flimsy, thin padding material, and it sells for the exact same price as the G-raphy! I highly recommend this camera insert.

Good for storing extra lenses and gear that won't fit in another bag, or to offload for lighter day trips. Nice thick padded inserts.

I’m very happy I made this purchase. Fits perfectly into my hiking pack and fits more camera gear than I was expecting it to. Quality is good. It could have had at least one more divider but I stole one out of my other camera bag that had a ton, so not complaining. Love that it has the two pockets on the flap. A slot for an SD card would have been cool, but all in all I’m very happy. Delivery was fast!

Like - well padded, inserts are easy to move to fit whatever combination of cameras or lenses, doesn't look obviously like a camera bag so is less likely to attract attention, fits easily in a regular size backpack and offers extra protection, seems well made and durableDislike - so far, nothing. It is supposed to be water resistant but haven't tested that feature yet.

I wanted a bag to put all my audio equipment in and this was perfect. Shipping was very fast too. Would recommend

Bought this to store my lenses in while traveling.Does the job lots of room and made of quality fabric.
