No for damage protection, ziplock works better
I tried the overboard bag and it was too masculine looking and two large for the iPad air 2. So I sent it back. But I saw this one and it looked like it but the iPad so much better than the overboard bag which was much too large and this one it looked more feminine and it had a thinner white strap ( unlike the overboard which has) a look at me "im a cameraman in the Amazon jungle" black thick type strap attached to it. What I didn't like about this product on this page was the plastic was too thick and had permanent rippling that would not smooth down and lay flat on the screen!!! That makes using the iPad very uncomfortable for me.... Also I can't remove what air there is from inside...to flatten it out and assure me of noo leaks. I did testBetter than the overboard bag because it's not too big for the iPad and the look and strap is definitely mire feminine looking.i tested it it in the shower but did not submerge and .no leaks. But the closure part seems heavy and bulky to me. Then I read here that a simple gallon size freezer ziplock brand ziplock bag works just as well. I thought those folks were kidding but they weren't! The great things about using the gallon freezer ziplock are NO extra weight at all ( but it's only for water protection not drop protection mind you),you can suck ALL the Air out of it prior to closing to assure no leaks and that also smooths the plastic right down perfectly flat to the screen, and all touch features iwork! For the touch feature even one touch fingerprint pay works! And it is cheaper and 100 petcent clear (so is the iPad waterproof case for Apple) but that ziplock was even better. The only bad thing about the ziplock is I don't get a choice between quart size or gallon size Ziploc bag and my iPad Air to does not fit perfvtpy so there is some extra plastic there on the side but not a problem. Th i Ziplock bag of course there has no strap and of course there is no hand strap thingy on the back so you sacrifice that too, but to me to get rid of the thick plastic that ripples is worth it. Again I am not trying to protect the iPad From anything other than water and the Ziploc bag trick does work for that. and you should know about that if you're going out in the rain or if you just need quick light water protection or protection from splash or rain, or bringing it into an environment like a rock locker room that has water around. Ziplock freezer grat. Now I just need to find one that is between gallon and quart size I plan to write Ziploc brand bags corporation one that is made a little bigger than a quarter of a smaller than a gallon. Still ill keep the product on this page because it does have a strap and if I was traveling and not concerned about protection from damage I might want to put the strap on if I was walking around casually instead of putting it in my purse and but maybe not.. because people might see it and it would be an easily stolen.. Hmmm . So I guess I'm still thinking about what us I'd have for this waterproof case on this page ..fo th strap but I will keep it. Although this product on this page fit the iPad pretty well and was water proof I also ordered the Pyle bag which is similar to this and I'll compare it and review that too but I think the Ziploc bag is the most convenient and works just as well.wow.

So much better than others I've tried AND great customer service
Kudos to the seller & to the quality of the product! I purchased this case for my iPad Air 2 in Spring 2016 to use in my hot tub. I had tried another case prior to buying this one & returned it because the thick, stiff, wrinkled plastic made using the iPad nearly impossible.Last week, after heavy use for the past 9 months, a hole developed in the bottom seam of the case. Because of this, I made the mistake of trying a different case (so 3rd variety). It was a lot like the 1st one but even worse! So, I went back to re-order this one & saw that the company has a lifetime warranty! I felt sort of wrong even asking for a replacement since I probably use the case a lot more than the average buyer. But I contacted the seller & a couple days later I had a new case in hand! They responded to my inquiry right away & shipped the new case with expedited shipping...certainly not expected or requested! Wahoo for PERFECT customer service! Also, I agree with the "New & Improved" claims - this case is even better than the last because the plastic is even clearer & using the iPad is even easier. Here are the great things about this case:- The plastic is thin, clear & does not wrinkle like the other 2 I tried. Also, when I dip it into the warm hot tub water the plastic gets even softer which gives it a very good feel & makes it very easy to use the touch screen.- My replacement version has even clearer plastic than the 1st one...I used it for the first time yesterday & it was almost like I was using the iPad without any case at all!- The latches are MUCH easier to open/close than the other 2 I tried - the most recent "other" case was nearly impossible to open - a sure-fire way to break a nail!- It has a nice strap on the back of the case which makes it comfortable to hold without using the actual strap (which I haven't used)- The blue & white is attractive & very appropriate for a waterproof caseI have no negatives to report other than that the seam came apart...but after heavy use in hot water for 9 months, I wouldn't really expect an item in this price range to hold up forever. So I don't really see that as a negative. This case is a little more expensive upfront than some of the others, but the quality & customer service make the price actually seem like a very good value! What's the point of buying a case that's $5 cheaper if you can't use your iPad or you break a nail trying to open the latches?Highly recommend product & seller!

Great case for the price
I ready the reviews and realized that I may have problems with this, but I have to say that so far I am liking it a lot. I bought it to use the iPad in our spa. The iPad has a cover, so it takes an extra second to slid it in this with the cover (tight fit going in). But I haven't had a problem sealing it in. Used the little clip to close the seals, and its worked perfect everytime. The clip is easy to lose, so I got some string and attached it to the blue clip (so it won't get lost). The clip secures easily and adds a little extra protection. It only goes on ONE WAY, so if you try to slide the clip on the wrong way, it won't go on -- that's pretty easy to figure out though.Getting all/most of the air out before you seal helps in using the iPad. We're able to web surf, use apps, play games, etc. with no problem.Just remember, if you use a spa, its not a good idea to keep the iPad (or other device) submerged in hot water! For the price, and for my use, it is a good product that is doing exactly what I purchased it for.

Wet Ipad!
I bought this for my ipad because I was going on vacation and well I figured why buy a go pro when I can just get this and well I was happy to get it so fast. But I used it in the pool and my ipad was wet, and well I was thinking maybe I didn't zip it all the way or something, I checked there was no hole in it I zipped it up all the way. I figured maybe it was one of those first time use mistakes I make. So I read the directions made sure I was doing everything right and went back into the pool it was working fine I put it on the table for not even a minuet and then saw my ipad was wet looking I took it out of the bag my ipad was wet! I was quite up set with this but my ipad still works so I'm not to angers I'm just up set that this says 100% water proof for in fact that it's not.
