Not one I would like to run into at the park at night
Our 6-year old son is a big dinosaur enthusiast. And we have been spoiling him with these fairly expensive but super attractive Schleich dino’s. We started early and after a few years of collecting our young palaeontologist has an impressive Jurassic collection that is frequently displayed or played with.I love this Cryolophosaurus for both its size and colours. I’m not an expert on the matter, so I can’t say how realistic it is. But the creature looks pretty menacing and unique in that is doesn’t come in the usual drab colours. My son was also very pleased with it.The dino comes with a good level of detail on its body. But its head is sculpted quite well in particular, with a tiny pair of eyes but a copious amount of sharp teeth. The mouth can be openened. The pose is interesting, slightly relaxed, as if the dino is about to take a nibble out of the flank of a Diplodocus. I guess it can be displayed in a versatile manner. As always, Schleich figures are of very high quality and extremely durable. I’m still surprised about how few parts have broken from our fairly large collection of figures that actually extends beyond dino’s. Several of our Schleich figures have seen a decade of intensive play and rough storage by a sequence of children. With the regular and older animals paint might chip off or fade but somehow this is barely the case with these larger dinosaurs from the past few years. As such there is a compelling quality argument. This along with the detail and realism of the sculpt makes these figures worth the premium price.

Definitely recommend, the best dinosaur figure we've had.
I've bought a lot of figures on Amazon for my son who has additional needs as he really loves them, especially dinosaurs! I was wary when ordering this as there are many that are awful and very small (like the one on the left that cost the same as this one!). But this one arrived and I was incredibly and pleasantly surprised! It is large with great attention to detail and is an amazing quality. It is heavy, so be wary if you have a child who may throw it! Definitely recommend it as its the best one we have had so far!

My boy loves this model
Schleich might not be the cheapest but when it comes to animals and dinosaurs they are the best - and this Giganotosaurus doesn’t disappoint. The paintwork is amazing and it just looks cool. On the practical front some toy dinosaurs are a bit unstable (especially on carpet) but the tail acts as a third point on the ground, so it’s well-designed too.

Decent quality and detail
Ok this is decent quality, detail is good and the overal depiction acceptable even for a collector. Perfectly good for the price and much better than cheaper stuff. Obviously not as good as the individually handmade resin versions, but definitively more than good enough.

Great dinosaur model, solid and detailed
My 3 year old son loves this. It's a good size , much bigger than the other dinosaurs he already had and nicely detailed and painted. It's very solid and probably more of a collectable than a child's toy. Like most of these sort of toys / models they will tend to lose some paint on edges due to fairly hard use and ours has lost a claw.I reckon the Papo Spinosaurus looks a bit better but this is almost as good and a fair bit cheaper.
