HDMI dummy plug, does its thing
It works, plug it in and the computer thinks it has a monitor connected. No issues since i bought it and it works reliably. Use it for NVIDIA remote play.

Perfect for headless UnRAID server
Works as advertised. Now my server can run completely headless and allow me to use moonlight gamestream without a hitch.

Works as described to add a virtual monitor to my headless computer
I have NVR software running on a Windows computer that can leverage hardware decoding to accelerate AI processing of motion triggered objects. The problem was that although I had specified that a security camera use hardware decode, the system log was reporting that the GPU did not exist. The hardware is physically present, but because there was no monitor attached, Windows didn't acknowledge that the GPU was available for use. After adding this DisplayPort emulator, hardware decode is now working as intended at the resolution that my video card supports, which is 1920x1080. I also have this one for HDMI, which works great as well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CXZX8BQEven though this supports 4K output, don't expect to be able to view resolution at 4K through a remote session unless your video card supports 4K as well.

Will need these for office PC's being relocated
I never new these existed until I read about "Display Emulators" and am glad I found them. Since we are now working from home, permanently, there are all these empty offices with 2-3 monitors that are still running (remotely accessed) due to Windows 10 annoying re-configuring your displays if they are powered-off or unplugged. Plus we were recently notified that the building we are in is going to be demolished in 2-3 year - so plan to move everything. These will allow us to physically remove 2-3 monitors from each desktop, saving power and allowing us to relocated the desktops to a centralized location without the extra monitors.

It fixed my screen problems running headless (remote desktop solution)
I am running a linux system that host several services like a media center. I installed 2 different remote desktop applications like vnc and nomachine and got very delayed input lag (1.5-2 second delay on screen after pressing buttons). I also noticed that every time I was in a remote session, my wallpaper would change but revert back after disconnecting (I verified by plugging monitor to the machine). After much troubleshooting and looking at many forums, I saw one solution was to try a dummy plug while running headless (i.e. no monitor). I plug this in and remote session into the server, and BAM! No latency delays!! This thing worked beautifully and saved my headache issue. I'd definitely buy this product just in case since it's cheap and has 2!FYI, I'm running linux lite OS (ubuntu/Debian based)

When the PC or software wants a video signal and you don't/can't have one.
There seems to be some very odd software behavior sometimes... why must it want a monitor connected to port to provide capability? Well this has come to the rescue for some of that for us. Interestingly, an entire series of Dell workstations that we have will *not* do a remote BIOS update with actually seeing a video signal on a video port... We have a number of them as "live backup" systems to drop into place. As such, they don't have monitors, but need to be fully updated at all times. These little butties have saved the day. Just jam them into the DisplayPort port and problem solved... They also help for headless remote access to help get you better remote resolution instead of the crappy low res defaults when you have not monitor connected.

Works perfectly!
Using these as dummy plugs for my mining rig and 3060 video cards. I'm running several of these without any issues and able to mine at full hash rates.

Works great for me
Do exactly what I need them to do. Haven't had any issues. I like the blue LED power indicator light. A MUST for mining. GPU's need to sense that something is connected to them to work and these do just that. I will be buying more when I need them and will be buying THESE exact ones since i know they work properly.

Plug and play
Bought it for remote access of PC and this saves on having monitors plugged in and risk other people observing your screen. It works straight away plugged in at HD resolution. Haven't tried higher but it does support way higher than HD.

Good for headless pc
Works well for a headless pc, but the screen quality transmitted is not as good as using a dp or actual HD screen

Not 2K
The product picture implies that the item outputs 2k resolution. In actual fact, it supports 1920x1080 which is full HD NOT 2k
