Genuine Yamaha Accessories Soft Saddlebag Mounts for 18-21 Yamaha MT-07

I'll be honest: This lowered score is impacted by my own ignorance.I have a 2016 Yamaha FZ-07, and I have a couple sets of saddlebags, both aftermarket, that I like to use.I used to run some Nielson sport bike bags, but when I caught someone nosing through them, I bought a new set that had lock hoops on the zippers. The new bags are larger, so they sag under my bike's tail. They won't touch the rear tire, but it looks really awkward and the left side bag sometimes dumped it's contents when the bike was on it's kick stand.So I bought these, thinking they'd help. I focused so much on compatibility for my bike that I didn't research these very thoroughly.These MOUNTS are for the matching FZ-07 saddlebags. For both sets of bags I had, these mounts really didn't work. Aftermarket bags like mine use loop strap clips to tie the bags down to the bike. The official FZ-07 bags have sleeves on the surface that presses against the bike; The metal bars in this mounting system slides through those sleeves.Since my bags don't have these sleeves, all this kit did for me was give me a new mounting point for my bags, and it did reduce the bags' tendency to sag under the bike's tail.My bags still look a bit odd, but at least the left bag doesn't dump out when I open it, so I'll be keeping these. But do your homework before buying these!So, you might be asking why I'm leaving three stars when it was my ignorance that caused this. For what I paid, I don't think this mounting system is worth the money, even if I were to buy the matching bags. Yes, the hardware is fine, and you even get an updated bracket for the rear brake fluid reservoir. But considering one of main structural parts of this system is PLASTIC, I think the price should be a bit less.

This is not new it's a used product that has slight damage. Don't recommend this seller go elsewhere. Pay the same price from Yamaha for brand new.

Easy to install and works well at keeping the bags off the rear tire. Also easy to remove when the bags aren't needed.

Works as expected, easy install. Nice to be able to quickly remove the bars when you don't need your saddlebags.

Nice way to travel good for the price.
