Think I got a dud - UPDATED!
Updated from my 1 star review - I thought I got a bad mic. It worked great at first, but then started making a loud buzzing noise. To attach it to the mic basket, you have to screw the ring on the bottom of the basket onto the bottom of the mic (always plug xlr in before attaching to basket & unplug after detaching). Anyway, I think after a few times attaching/detaching to the basket, the bottom of the mic actually unscrewed loose a bit, which I didn't even know was possible. Once I tightened the bottom of the mic, the buzzing was completely gone! Really good, crisp mic w/ 3 different, useful settings switches on it. Sounds 3D compared to my previous condenser (MXL-100). Definitely use a pop screen & don't sing straight into the diaphragm (angle it about 20º away) or you'll get a good amount of "S" that'll be tough to de-ess.

Big Bang for Small Bucks
Daughter uses this mic in home studio to record demos/work tapes. Sounds as good or better than vocals recorded on much more expensive mics. Really impressed.
