I have to admit that after a LOT of research on these types of collars, I chose these based on features, but mostly on the affordable price. My musts: NO shock functionality, rechargeable, easy to use. These 100% fit the bill! We have three dogs. One NEVER barks (she's a dream!), and the other two are small dogs who very quickly become "yappers" and enjoy the thrill of who can scream the loudest as they zoom outside to our fenced yard see what's going on in the world. Well, there's a LOT going on outside as we live in a golf course community. There's a continual flow of golf carts and motorized vehicles going past, and these small things flying by absolutely set our youngest dog off. He was at the point where it didn't matter if anything was driving past, he would bolt out the door to do his business, yelling at the top of his lungs - just so everyone would hear him. UGH. I went in with the lowest of expectations, but much to my surprise, this collar stopped his barking on the lowest setting. After the first 2-3 days we rarely even put the collar on him any more. He now pays attention to our verbal cues and just sits and watches as the golf carts pass by. We are still working on inside manners when company comes over. We are ok with a few barks, but after that we like settled, sweet pups. So far this has required a slightly higher setting, but it does indeed work. We are very careful to only use the collars when absolutely needed. I don't want to completely squelch their personalities and are fine with them being vocal inside when they roughhouse and play. I also work from home and lead a lot of calls, so it's complete peace of mind knowing they'll settle quickly if the doorbell rings or we receive a delivery during a call. It's a bit of a pain, the on/off of the collar all day, but it's SO well worth it. Battery life so far is great, and they're easy to plug/charge. My one word of advice...don't make an early mistake that I did. I had turned off the collar and decided to just turn it on after putting it around my dog's neck. Whoops!! It beeps and vibrates when it turns on. Bad dog mom move! I quickly warned my husband and we have not made that mistake again. This is absolutely NOT a replacement for proper dog training, but if you have a dog that has self control issues when barking and paying attention, it can be a great aid to remind them that uncontrolled barking is not appropriate behavior. We like to provide BIG praise when they don't bark and also when they are immediately quiet after a correction occurs. So thankful to have found this product!

I actually forgot to review this product after using it. I purchased it a year ago and I am having to replace it because my new puppy chewed it to pieces. Otherwise. I have loved it. It works very well and is easy to use. The charging is quick, and the battery has a long life. Even after a year, it still holds a charge for between 4-5 days, depending upon how much it has to work. The collar is nylon with an easily adjustable band and a plastic clip for security. The actual module is pretty small and seems comfortable on my Lab, although she only wears it when she is outside. I am purchasing another now for the new puppy.

We have two female rescues that came from troubled pasts. Both are suspicious of strangers and can sense someone outside with uncanny accuracy. They tell us by barking. The Lhasa (10-yrs old, 14 lbs) has a deep-sharp bark and the Yorkie-Maltese (3-yrs old, 10 lbs) has an ear-piercing high-pitched bark. You cannot talk through or over the barking.Having company was always difficult: once company arrived, we would go through barking sessions that lasted for 20-30 minutes, regardless of how many times we said, "Quiet!" If we had a party where guests streamed in at different times, the barking was non-stop. It was embarrassing that we could not train or control our pups. We needed some help. In late September 2022, we gambled on the Laptom Pro Smart Dog Bark Collar and the whole family is happier.We set the Lhasa's collar to #3, and the Yorkie to #1. At first, the dogs were afraid and the Yorkie started running around as if to escape danger. There is no danger because the collars do not shock the dogs, instead, the collars vibrate against the dog's throat. That vibration occurs in spurts and stops as soon as the dog stops barking. You can hear the vibration buzz and know when the collar is activated and off.The collar straps are very long in order to fit the collar to each dog's neck size, then trim the excess. The unit plus the collar weighs under 3 ounces (71 grams). The batteries have lasted the 3-months we've used them and we have not had to charge the units so far.After a couple of sessions of the dogs wearing the collars, the lessons were quickly learned. Now all we have to do is show the collars while approaching the dogs and suddenly the dogs quiet down and become calmer. The calm part was a surprise and a welcomed benefit.This doesn't mean we stopped using the collars just because they behaved. The behavior we want - no barking - needs to be reinforced, but it isn't a punitive action. It's kind and gentle and in the end, everyone is better off. The dogs can wear the collars while company is present and in some cases, we remove the collars for the remainder of the visit and the dogs stay quiet. For us, it's easier to leave the collars on and the dogs don't seem to notice the collars.We are glad we bought the collars and the dogs are happier, too.

These work the way they are supposed to. No problem there. Good quality. This was very effective for one of my dogs. It got the attention of my second dog at first but was only effective until she realized it really didn't bother her and she ignores it. I had to move to a shock collar for her.
