Lightweight grippy trail runner
My favorite trail running shoes. The shoe is very lightweight. Works well for a neutral/supinator. Not a lot of arch, but enough that I feel comfortable. The best feature for me is the composition of the heel. It has little padded sections inside that grip the narrowest part of the heel to prevent slippage while leaving the bottom of the heel free to prevent rubbing. The padding is decent, but does wear down quickly if worn in wetter conditions. For the price, it's worth replacing them as they're much less expensive than many other running shoes. I find they work well on singletrack and grass in the midwest, but might not be enough protection in very mountainous conditions.

These are my favorite running shoes ever
These are my favorite running shoes ever. They are the perfect combination of cushion and traction in a light weight shoe. I use them for trail running and for running the road. They might not be the most stable shoe out there, but I've given up trying stable to over-stable shoes because I find them too stiff and too heavy. These shoes are neither. Other than wanting just a little more heel cushion, I wouldn't change a thing about these shoes.

Good running shoes
This is my second pair of Montrail shoes (old one is still good, but I was looking for something lighter for spring and summer). I'm very pleased with them. After my first 7 miles run on a road in them my feet hurt a little - the soil is sturdy, but on a thinner side, as described - but after that I got totally comfortable in them on different types of surface. Highly recommended running shoes!

Ankle Support Plus Lightness
I was nervous about these minimalist shoes because I have pretty bad ankle instability- but was very pleasantly surprised. These provided just the right amount of support. They're incredibly light, but not so light that you feel like your shoes aren't substantial enough. I've only worn them on a few trail runs so far, and I'm in love. Great deal on excellent shoes.

Just too darn narrow
These shoes have a wonderful foot bed, but they are just too darn narrow, and there are big bumps where the laces start toward the toes that dig into your feet. I have a pair of Montrails that are absolutely my favorite shoes in the world, unfortunately unless you have narrow feet this model just isn'tt going to work.

Comfort lightweight summertime shoe
Great lightweight shoe. Used it for hiking at Big Sur and they did great. Great breathable, lightweight summertime walking show. Very comfortable and fit to size but had to loosen laces a bit but fits great.

Nice shoes but pressure point L shoe
The fit was fine. Unfortunately, at the base of the junction where the tongue is sewn into the shoe, a significant pressure point was created over the tendon of the great toe..so had to return shoes. Only occurred in L shoe. If another L shoe was available to try on, like shoe store, problem might have been resolved.

Amazing
I LOVE THESE SHOES! They are so comfortable and not at all bulky for a trail shoe. Fit like a glove. Love, Love, Love.
