This thing is weirdly awesome!
I never thought I could be excited about a cardholder... To think, just days ago I was burdened with the primitive flimsy plastic sleeve... A sleeve that says "I like to settle for the status quo".I can directly attribute a recent promotion to the awesomeness of this cardholder alone. Just think... you've reached that awkward moment when both you and your supervisor (boss, chief, director) are walking into the building. You reach to pull out your keycard; suddently their eyes light up with the vibrant and stylish colors of your Badge Holder! You grip the tactical clam-shell-RFID-unblocker-action using the finely serrated anti-slip checkering. With a quick flick of the wrist and a flash of the silver inner foil the door unlocks. The only question they have is.. what is that?My response : the Identity Stronghold Badge Holder Classic (orange - to match my eyes)

This one is really nice because it spreads apart so I can have my ...
I use this every day for my badge at work and my employer will only provide those cheap badge holders. This one is really nice because it spreads apart so I can have my card read to get in the door, access gates, etc., without having to remove it from the badge holder. I would have given it 5 stars if it were a bit less expensive; these things do break, and for the price, eh, it's a bit much for a plastic badge holder that will need to be replaced in a year or so.

Works well for CR80 cards, does not work at all for clamshell type cards.
Works well with CR80 (credit card) sized access cards. Does not work with clamshell type cards; they are too thick and although you can firmly slide them into the receiver, the thickness of the clamshell cards holds the flap open just a bit and it's enough that the card reads from a standard distance. Tested with a CR80 size access card and it works as expected. Would be nice if SOMEBODY (hint, hint Identity Stronghold!) would make these FIPS compliant badge holders accept clamshell cards too!

Keeps your ID card in the protected case where it belongs!
I wish I add this years ago, I used to hate having to take out my ID card from the original case security issued me every time I had to swipe the sensor. Now I can just squeeze this contraption at the top and place it on the sensor and it registers every time. I highly recommend this if you are in the same situation with your ID card.

Prevented all reading - even from a weaponized reader
Great at blocking 13.56 mhz from iclass badges. If you don't want some lame-ass red team / penetration testing team to steal you badge info, clone it, and impersonate you, this is great. Even a weaponized HID R90 cannot read an iclass badge at 0.00" when sitting against the plate this holder has in it. Great protection purchase. but so easy to use - just press on the pivot point, the badge separates from the plate, and it can be read again. easy!

I definitely recommend
Absolutely Loveeee this badge case, keeps my ID secure while also allowing me access throughout my building. The accessibility of the badge allows you to use your ID without removing it from the case, just make sure you hold the clip upwards so that the back is not pressed against the ID when using it on doors, turn styles, etc...I definitely recommend

Works
Reduce the range of RFID access badges to less than an inch. Important for people with high access using these cards. In a recent audit the testers were able to clone one of our cards while in an elevator with one of our staff. Having the card in one of these cases would have prevented the clone.... or at least would have required the tester to get way too personal with the employee. After testing, all of IS and Facilities is required to use

It breaks
This is the 2nd one that broke on me. I gave it two stars because it works for other people I work with. But I definitely would not buy it again, it can only hold one ID as well. Most places that use a Cac card also have a separate card for business ID or to get in the building.
