Best food short of RAW diet!
Our daughter is nine years old, going on sixteen. She decided that she wanted a ferret and began a very well organized campaign to convince my wife and I to let her have a ferret. She did tons of research, and used psychological tricks, played us against one another and several other very well planned out tactics to trick us into getting her not one, but two ferrets. (One ferret would be lonely and potentially more destructive during the day when she was at school - two ferrets would have each other for company.)One thing she did that was commendable was the vast amount of research that she did before we got the ferrets. I am a research kind of guy, and spent a lot of time finding just the right food for our dog. So she copied my techniques and did a great deal of research on the proper food. She learned that the ideal diet for a grown ferret is live baby chicks or live baby mice. This seemed impractical for our family, so we set out to find a better alternative.Enter the Wysong Ferret Epigen 90 Digestive Support - Dry Ferret Food. It appears to be the next closest thing the RAW Diet, while still giving them the proper nutrients that an obligate carnivore needs. Also, there has been some discussion over the richening of the "plain" Epigen 90 food, so the Digestive Support seems to be the better choice of the two.Our ferrets love it, and are growing and healthy and refuse most other (ferret) treats or scrambled eggs or other approved treats. They really like this food and it is working well for them. I recommend it highly.

Wonderful food
My ferret does great with this food, I tried switching to something I could find locally and it just caused her to reek! Back to Wysong and her smell has toned down again. Buying in bulk is a bit pricey but she doesn’t eat much and this ends up lasting her the year, and being individually packaged I can store the unopened bags to help keep it fresh.

One of the best kibbles out there for ferrets.
One of the best kibbles out there for ferrets, although I recommend blending it with a couple of other ferret kibbles when using kibble. This is high in protein, but lower in fat, and ferrets need a bit more of that. We're blending ours with the Oxbow ferret food at this time, since our prior kibble choices were bought out by larger companies and became poor choices. This is what we recommend hands down, and the company is very informative. If you do have ferrets, please join ferret groups and consult closely with your vet; kibbles are not ideal for ferrets. Pate style food is preferred if you can't do raw fed. But for those who can't do raw fed, this is a great kibble to incorporate in. You can leave it out for them all day, every day, so that they always have access to food (since their digestion is fast, so they eat usually every 2-3 hours).Make sure you are getting the Epigen 90 DIGESTIVE SUPPORT, not the other one.

Great value for your buck!
Great value for you money, I get the ferret food and have noticed a huge difference in the smell of their cage. Their coats look healthier and they seem to really love the taste as they get very excited when it's feeding time!

Best Ferret Food
Best ferret food out there. I had my ferrets on Marshall’s Food, because that’s what they were fed prior to me getting them. When I switched them over, within 2 weeks they were putting on weight and their coat became plush, soft and beautiful. It was amazing! I’m so glad we did some research and switched over to this food. Much healthier for your ferrets! Only 1 problem is that I bought a bundle of 4 that expired in 3 months. I didn’t realize it right away, so I was feeding my ferrets expired food. Pretty expensive to have to throw bags away.

Don't feed Marshall's.
Way better than Marshall's for nutrition, you may need to mix it with other food for some ferrets since high protein content can cause doo doo butter. They are carnivores and they need the protein but, the aftermath can be real gross.
