Renews old walls like a pro
After manually restoring 1 wall in my kitchen, plastering and rub down, my daughter asked me to do her sitting room along with stairs and landing. This involved plastering over a cottage style textured plaster to return it to smooth. Unfortunatley I only bought this machine after the plastering, using Easifill 60, was completed at which point it was still rough and uneven, I am not too good at plastering. If I had the machine before plastering it would have done the job with little effort. We tried sanding uisng hand sanders but the dust was prohibitive and the prospect of doing the rest was not feasible. Saw the dry wall sander and decided to get it, write ups were OK.I am glad I did. It still took a bit of time because of the size of the job but the results were excellent. The dust was kept low enough not to need a mask and the only escape was through the cloth bag extraction bag which blows up like a bagpipe. There was an option of connecting a vacuum cleaner so we could have cut seepage from extraction bag even further. The machine itself was a little noisy but the ring light strip meant you were able to see where needed to be done next. The hook and eye papers enclosed were better than the "extras" advertised as also bought as whilst these were said to last up to 10 times longer they didn't do as good a job.My next project is removing stippled effect from my kitchen and when I tried it the result was like glass even with 150 grit paper, I thought I would have had to over plaster but it looks like I will be saved from that. Like with most tools you get what you pay for but for £78 this machine was fantastic. Compared to the cost of getting a plasterer in it was a snip and she is delighted. I wish I had done it at the start of the p[roject.

Halved my workload but does not work into the corners
The media could not be loaded. I am in the process of building a garden office. My drywall skills are OK but i did leave myself quite a lot of sanding to do and I was losing the will to live. If you want to see my journey I have been documenting on Youtube under the name of Onno Experience. I have shown me using this in the Enter The Sandman video.I have never had a sander like this before. I have killed several smaller 'ordinary' sanders by choking their motors with drywall dust. This one has built-in suction and a collection bag so the amount of dust it kicks out is minimal (although I would say wear a mask as well.)The Good Bits- Seems like a really good price- Was delivered quickly and well packaged- It was a bit heavy to hold but I found myself working in a few minute blasts anyway to check my work.- The LED lights are amazing for showing you where you need to sand next.- The dust extractor and bag work well, even without a mask- The finish of the flat walls and columns was astounding. So flat and smooth! The bad bits- You cannot get into the corners or near the edges - the LED lights stand about 1cm proud of the sanding pad so you end up resorting to hand sanding or using another sander to do that- Did I mention its heavy? Sanding the roof was hard as you have to hold this above your head. Maybe one on a pole would be better for that but my ceiling on this project is really low- You can strip the plaster back to paper/metal super quicly. Be careful around the edges and on thinner plaster. This thing will strip if back as soon as look at it!All in all it has made finishing this stage of the project so easy and I am very glad I bought it

Impressive.
Actually quite impressive and does the job, but you definitely need more sand paper on standby.

No longer works after three uses, no warranty details and no contact from manufacturer.
purchased this in October and used three times and now find that regardless of the grade of sandpaper used the sander does not remove anything from the surface. wont even remove a pencil mark from an emulsioned wall with a 40 grit disk, all that happens is the wall becomes shiny as though the disk is not contacting the wall properly. Tried a small oribital sander and surface removed without a problem.Tried to arrange a return through Amazon and online returns just sends you to manufacturers website in China despite the seller being listed as Handife Direct UK. Have filled in online form but as yet have not had any acknowledgement of form being submitted or contact from the company. Will allow a couple more days to receive a response and then contact Amazon by phone in hope of getting it sorted. Issue also caused me to check the listing for warranty details and couldnt find any details of a warranty on Amazon or the manufacturers website. Tried the chat online, received one automated response on where to register for extender warranty, link to extended warranty displays a 403 forbidden page.Having performed my due diligence too late I would advise anyone considering purchase of a handife product to reconsider, product is great when it works but dont expect any support if it breaks outside amazons 30 day returns policy.

Discs are not 225mm
Received this item today and it is decent enough but when buying the reviews stated it takes a 225mm disc but it doesn't the base plate is only 180mm, it does states this in the technical data but the real problem is I can't find 185mm discs on Amazon. So I have a sander I can't buy discs for, great 😒

Excellent sander!
The media could not be loaded. Bought this to sand down after taping and jointing. This has been a trial by error don't put too much mud on otherwise it's doesn't work and you will have to hand sand the walls to get the profile down for it to sand it properly. Now I have learnt how to apply the mud it is an excellent sander and 90% less dust compared to hand sanding. Now I do a layer of mud and use the sander to smooth it level, it's done in minutes and has made the job a lot easier.

Very noisy and difficult to get a good finish
Very noisy and difficult to get a good finish. The supplied pads are rubbish and the bag that’s meant to keep all the dust is not fit for purpose as it leaks!Would recommend finding another product.
